<h4>Chapter 613 – Stuck Like A Gum</h4>


    Fu Meixu who was sitting in her manager’s office reading the contract Alix’spany sent for her, found it interesting, but when she learned it was a newpany, she closed the contract and threw it on top of her manager’s desk.


    "I’m not doing it!" She said without a change of facial expression.


    "Why? I thought you liked it?" Her manager asked in surprise.


    Meixu nced at him and said, "I don’t work for any newpany that doesn’t have a foothold. Do you think I work for just anybody? Take a good look at me, do I look like those small celebrities that are looking for money and exposure?"


    Her manager sighed and said, "I know you don’tck money or presence in the industry. But the benefits you will reap from thispany are massive!"


    Her manager tried to get her to see another picture, but she refused. She is never working for any namelesspany.


    "Tell them, that I don’t work for any namelesspany. There are other models of their leagues that are more than willing to work for them, why are they trying to reach for something higher?" Meixu asked, she couldn’t understand.


    "This newpany has lots of funds, and it looks like they want to enter the market which full force." Her manager replied.


    Fu Meixu rolled her eyes and said, "What are they rushing for? Shouldn’t they focus on building themselves? What’s the point of rushing into the market and going bankrupt after a few years?"


    Fu Meixu believed that building something takes time, and rushing will result in failure, and this is the more reason she will never ept this new cosmeticpany, LIXX.


    Being rejected by the Fu sisters, Alix was mad that she swept everything on her desk away. She was currently in her new office when the feedback was sent to her.


    She was angrier with Meixu’s response than FangSu’s rejection. FangSu said she was busy and couldn’t do it, why Meixu said she will never work for a newpany that didn’t have a foothold in the market.


    Meixu’s statement was an insult to Alix because it sounded like she was belittling herpany.


    "Who is that brat to think she could look down on me?!" Alix asked angrily, but nobody dared to answer her.


    The people working closely with her for her new brand, all signed a contract with her, not to reveal her identity as the real owner of LIXX.


    The only reason they were working for her, was because of the pay. But for a month plus now, she was owed them, which was kind of normal, because all the funds were going into building the brand and product’s image.


    Again, Alix’s n failed, but she refused to let it go. She asked her representative who would appear in public as the owner of the brand, to take note of Meixu’s response. She was going to use it against her.


    One dayter, Jia Li and her friends left for Miami on the private jet Fu Hua arranged for them. Jasmine didn’t go to school on that day, because she had to send her mother off. Surprisingly, the little girl didn’t cry much because her father was holding her in his arms.


    When Fu Hua asked her to wave to her mother, she refused and said she wanted to go with her.


    "You can’t go with her, stay with daddy, and I will take you to a lot of fun ces. Tell your mummy everything you want her to get for you." Fu Hua said to the little girl softly.


    Jasmine was easily cajoled by her father. She listed several things she wanted her mother to get for her.


    Jia Li epted all her requests and waved to her after leaning in to kiss her forehead and cheeks. Atst, Jasmine waved to her, and to her three godmothers who were sad that she wasn’ting with them.


    They thought it would have been fun if she came with them, but Fu Hua didn’t want Jia Li to have an extra person to care for. He wanted her to have lots of time to herself.


    When the jet left, Jasmine hugged her father tightly and refused to go to anybody’s arm.


    Fu Hua smiled as he patted her back infort. "Do you want Ice Cream?" He asked. Jasmine nodded in response and continued hugging his neck. Fu Hua kissed her hair before walking to the car with her.


    In the car, Jasmine refused to leave her father’s embrace. She stuck to him like gum, even when they got to the ice cream store, she refused toe down. She stayed up there and pointed at the things she wanted to eat, including the ice cream vors she wanted.


    After cing her order, Fu Hua carried her and went to sit at an empty table, while waiting for one of the bodyguards to bring the order.


    The people in the store were surprised when they saw Fu Hua and the little bun, but they only recognized them after Fu Hua took off his sunsses.


    Immediately that happened, there were gasps of shocks from the rest of the customers, and some of them whipped out their phones to take pictures, but they were stopped by the people that cane with Fu Hua.


    Fu Hua didn’t mind being recognized, but he didn’t want that unnecessary attention and picture taking because of Jasmine who looked taken aback because of the sudden attention on them.


    "I just want to hang out with my daughter, if you can pretend to not see us, I will appreciate that a lot, thanks." Fu Hua said to them.


    Who dares to take photos of them or disturb them when he had already made a request nicely? If anyone dares to, the bodyguards would deal with them ASAP.


    When her order came, Fu Hua still had Jasmine on his thighs while she fed herself. The little girl would turn to feed him some of her snacks from time to time.


    From the corner of his eyes, Fu Hua saw one of the customers secretly clique pictures of Jasmine feeding him. He didn’t say anything, but when his gaze met the customer, the customer became guilty and immediately put down his phone.


    A soldier was quick to see the interaction and wanted to go and snatch the phone from him, but Fu Hua stopped him.
