Fu Ling had a meeting with an investor in a faraway city, still within Country C, and for this, he was going with his personal assistant.


    The meeting had been scheduled about 2 weeks ago, and they were both aware of it.


    Yesterday, Fu Ling gave Xin half a day off to prepare for their which was in the morning of the next day.


    The next day, which is today, they two met in the office. Xin had arrived before Fu Ling almost do 30 minutes now.


    When Fu Ling stepped into the Airport and Xin saw him from where she was sitting, she began to think, what if she didn''t have to be his secretary, and what if their fake rtionship turned out to be real. It has been a year since she entered this fake rtionship with him.


    It is no fun for her, as nothing much changed apart from bringing her to a few of his family events, and buying her the outfits for those events. Apart from that, he doesn''t do any other thing, not even buying her lunch or trying to get to a personal level with her.


    He treated her like a business partner, dealing with a contract and nothing more, which was hurtful to her, because she had true feelings for him, and with her following him around like this, she was afraid her thoughts would be found out by him.


    Xin waved so that Fu Ling could see her, and he did see her because he started to make his way towards her.


    "Mr. Fu you''re here, let me help you with your luggage," Xin said as she stretched her hand out to take his bag, but he rejected her.


    "No need, I can hold it myself. It''s about ten minutes before check-in, let''s sit and wait." Fu Ling said after checking the time on his wristwatch.


    Xin nodded and showed him the way.


    Thirty minutester, their ne took off. Xin was happy to be sitting in the first ss with Fu Ling. He could have booked a business ss or an economy ss for her, but he did not.


    Xin could not rejoice no matter howfortable and rxed it was to be sitting in the first cabin. She knew he was only doing this because she was helping him out.


    On getting to the airport, the taxi of the resort they had booked, came to pick them up and drove them straight to the resort.


    "What time is the meeting today?" Fu Ling asked after some minutes of silence in the ride to the resort.


    Xin whipped out her phone from her handbag to check his schedule. "7 pm at ****** club."


    Fu Ling nced at his wristwatch and said, "there is enough time to rest before the meeting time." Xin agreed with him.


    When they got to the resort, the manager came to wee them and showed them to their separate room. When asked if he would be interested to be given a tour, Fu Ling rejected that idea.


    "I didn''te where for recreation, I came for a business meeting." Fu Ling had replied.


    It''s unfortunate that Xin wouldn''t get the time to rx and take a break off from work with Fu Ling''s arrangement.


    Fu Ling and Xin''s rooms were next to each other. Fu Ling had nothing else apart from business in mind when reserving their rooms.


    He always thinks he would do a better job than others in some kind of work, so he arranged this meeting himself.


    As something coulde up, it would be good for Xin to be next door.


    After they were shown to their rooms, they went straight to take a shower before food was delivered to them.


    Before eating, Fu Lingmunicated with Xin through the resort''s inte. He had asked her toe over to his room when she was done having her food, to talk about work.


    Xin chose a not too casual kind of outfit to dress in. Her Boss has always been seeing her in official clothes, so she decided to go something out of point.


    Something out of point in the sense that, she was trying to get his attention by trying a different kind of clothing. She chose an armless knee-length dress, and her hair, she let it down after washing it with an expensive shampoo and conditioner.


    She wore a small pair of earrings and applied light makeup on her face. For her lips, she applied pink color lipstick.


    Putting on the fluffy slippers arranged by the resort, she nced at herself in the mirror before leaving for Fu Ling''s room in satisfaction.


    Knocking on his door with a pounding heart, she was beginning to regret if she had gone a little far with her feelings for her Boss.


    ''Maybe I shouldn''t dress this way, maybe I should just change back to my normal looks'' Xin thought as she withdrew her hand from the door and took a step backward.


    Just as she was about to turn and leave, Fu Ling opened the door for her.


    ''It''s toote'' Xin thought and turned to look at him. Catching the surprised look on his face, her heartbeats elerated.


    Fu Ling was surprised to see this look of his personal assistant. Not that he has not seen her that way before, but because this was a casual stuff.


    The times he had pulled her to some of his family events over thest year, she used to dress more than that, but he just wanted to have a business meeting with her, but with her dressed that way, he didn''t know what to think.


    Xin who was beginning to get ufortable with his gaze, said immediately, "I... thought I could dress casually for once since we are not in the office, but...but I will change my clothes now, please give me 5 minutes."


    Fu Ling finally fixed his gaze on her face and said, "I don''t have that time. You cane in, and please tie your hair."


    After saying that to her, Fu Ling turned to leave, but Xin immediately said to him, "I don''t have a band with me."


    "Come in that way.." Fu Ling said and walked inside, leaving her at the door.
