<h4>Chapter 227 - Escaped Like A Little Kitten</h4>


    Quickly, New Year came and passed, and the Fu family celebrated it in grand style, with only the extended family members in attendance.


    For the family banquet, there was lots of food and drinks for everyone. Jia Li was treated like an egg ???? because she was pregnant.


    She wasn''t allowed to do anything herself, and the rest of the Fu family members amodated her because Fu Hua was standing solidly behind her.


    After the New Year''s celebration, the extended members of the Fu family traveled back to their base.


    Fu ChunHua''s sister who was supposed toe after the New Year celebration did note again. She got a problematic call and had to deal with it.


    Jia Li and Fu Hua spent 2 more days at the Fu house before deciding to go back to their home.


    Jia Li went to see Ocean, and take her with her since they were already leaving but it looks like Ocean''s new friend has bonded with her.


    Ocean''s new friend was a dog of the same breed that belonged to Grandfather Fu, it was a military male dog. Grandfather decided to bring him home from the camp, after making a decision.


    "Ocean, you have to say goodbye to your friend, we are leaving." Jia Li said as she rubbed Ocean''s head while holding onto the leash with the other hand.


    Ocean nced at the fierce military dog and barked before turning back to nce at Jia Li with her tongue out.


    Jia Li pat her head again as she said with a smile, "Good girl!"


    The ferocious-looking military dog that was locked in his cage, started barking when Jia Li and Ocean turned to leave.


    Jia Li waved goodbye to Grandfather Fu''s dog and continued walking with Ocean by her side.


    When Jia Li got to their house with Fu Hua, she noticed a total of 4 military men that were outside their house and was surprised.


    "What are they doing here?" Jia Li whispered to Fu Hua when they stepped out of the car.


    "Grandfather sent them because of you. If you want to go out alone, at least one of them has to follow you out." Fu Hua exined.


    "I don''t need them, why do they have to follow me out?" Jia Li inquired with a frown.


    "You''re carrying a descendant of the Fu family, so of course you need their protection." Fu Hua said to her as he hugged her shoulder and walked towards the building.


    "I heard from Grandfather that you once served in the army right?" Jia Li asked as they walked inside the building.


    "Yes, I did, for 5 years." Fu Hua replied.


    "Wow! You must have suffered a lot back then." Jia Li said to him.


    "I didn''t because it shaped my personality." Fu Hua replied.


    "You mean your cold and distant personality?" Jia Li asked with a smile.


    Fu Hua chuckled as he held her hand and walked towards the stairs.


    "Where do you want us to go for Valentine''s Day?" Fu Hua asked.


    "Valentine?" Jia Li asked as a beautiful smile spread across her face.


    "Yes. We at least have to go for one vacation before your stomach won''t let you." Fu Hua said with a smile. He was talking about her stomach bing bigger.


    Thinking about their baby that was almost 4 months old, made him feel proud. He couldn''t wait for their baby to be born, so he could spoil the child and the mother.


    "I don''t know many ces, you can decide. I just want a ce to rx, eat good food and look at the beautiful view." Jia Li said with a smile.


    "Okay, I will look into it. Go on and rest, I have work to do." Fu Hua said to her as he opened the door of their bedroom for her.


    "I want to apany you." Jia Li whined ???? like a child.


    "No, you need to get some rest. I wille back in 2 hours." Fu Hua said to her.


    "But I want to go with you, I promise not to distract you." Jia Li pleaded as she held onto his arm with a cute facial expression. She didn''t want to stay alone in the room, she wanted to apany him to the workshop.


    Fu Hua saw how stubborn she was and agreed. "Okay, you cane with me."


    "Yes! Thank you!" Jia Li said with a smile as she followed behind him but the next words Fu Hua said caused her to think twice.


    Fu Hua put his hands in his pockets and said while walking forward, "If you are not scared of being eaten, you cane along?"


    After Fu Hua said that, he didn''t hear the footsteps behind him again, so he turned and was in time to see Jia Li enter the room and close the door with a loud thud.


    Fu Hua chuckled softly with his hand over his mouth. "I thought you were not afraid ofing with me."


    Fu Hua walked away and went to the workshop to do his work.


    How could Jia Li allow herself to be eaten in the study again? She was only going there to sit and watch him do his thing because she wanted hispany. But she had to run for her poor life.


    The way she escaped like a little kitten, was so funny to Fu Hua. Since she didn''t want to listen, he had to threaten her with being eaten, and it worked.


    By the time Fu Hua finished working and returned to the bedroom, Jia Li was already fast asleep, with a book in her hand. She was reading a book on Health care during pregnancy before she slept off.


    Fu Hua took the book away, and put a bookmark on the page she was reading before keeping it on the nightstand. Next, he covered her with the duvet and went into the inner room.


    Over the next few days, Fu Hua was working and nning their Valentine''s Day vacation.. Atst, he chose to n their vacation in Berkeley Springs WV.
