<h4>Chapter 44 - Is This Pride Or What?</h4>


    Fu Hua and his team have been very busy with the uing Autumn show, and. they have been working relentlessly.


    It has also been a few days since Fu Huast spoke with his girlfriend. He finally had some time to breathe after working tirelessly in his office this morning.


    While rxing, he remembered Feng Alix and checked his phone, but there were no calls or texts from her. He sighed and put his phone down, refusing to call her. He didn''t have the time to cate anybody.


    Fu Hua was used to people chasing after him. After thest call with his girlfriend, he knew she wasn''t happy with him, but he believed he didn''t do anything wrong, so he refused to indulge her.


    Fu Hua put his phone back on the desk, refusing to phone her. He had a lot of work to do other than to cate that girlfriend of his.


    A simr thing happened with Feng Alix. She was quite annoyed that Fu Hua hasn''t checked up on her, and she believed he knew she wasn''t in a good mood, but still refused to call her.


    ''Is this pride or what?.'' Feng Alix asked with a look of annoyance.


    She didn''t get a text or a call from her supposed boyfriend within these two days, and he was veryfortable. She was always the one calling to apologize, and he didn''t know how to cate a woman.


    ''Such an Ice-berg!.'' Feng Alix angrily.


    After calming down, she muttered to herself, "Since you don''t want to apologize and cate me, I will also do the same."


    Since she had a photoshoot for an advertisement today, Feng Alix''s manager called her toe downstairs.


    That''s right, due to her anger, she forgot that her manager has been waiting for her downstairs, so with the call, she was reminded about it and she picked her bag with her phone in hand and left her apartment.


    At the Qin house several kilometers away, Li Huan came to visit. This time around, the family of three was together.


    As they were talking about jobs in the City, Mrs. Qin asked Li Huan a question, to his surprise, and Mr. Qin''s astonishment, because he didn''t know the reason his wife would ask such a question.


    "Li Huan, since you''ve been in the City for some years now and with a good job, I''m sure some young women will be fighting over you. Do you have a girlfriend yet?." Mrs. Qin asked with a smile as she gazed at Li Huan.


    Jia Li felt embarrassed by the question so she threw her face away. Her face and neck were already red from the embarrassing question her mother posed.


    Even though he was surprised by the sudden question which was personal, Li Huan decided to reply. He smiled as he said, "No, Aunty, I''m still single."


    "Good." Mrs. Qin replied. His response made her happy. She so badly wanted to wink at Jia Li and give her a thumbs up ????, but then that will be oblivious.


    ''Well, there is still time after this to tease her.'' She thought.


    Jia Li on the other hand felt relieved that Li Huan was still single.


    ''That means I still have a chance.'' Jia Li said to herself in an excited tone.


    Li Huan didn''t know the reason Mrs. Qin asked that question, but he felt that since he was sessful and good-looking, it was normal for people to think he would have a girlfriend by now.


    "Honey, why did you ask that question? Li Huan is young and sessful you should respect his privacy." Mr. Qin to his wife as he held her hand.


    "There is no problem uncle, this family is like a second family to me." Li Huan said righteously.


    "Good!." Mrs. Qin said with a smile, so Mr. Qin had to smile as well.


    After Li Huan left their house that day, Mrs. Qin immediately dragged Jia Li to her room, after she came back from sending Li Huang off.


    "Mum what is it?." Jia Li asked as her mother dragged her to her room.


    "Shouldn''t you say something to me?." Mrs. Qin said with a smile as she directly looked into her daughter''s eyes.


    "Thank you!." Jia Li said before climbing into her bed.


    "What are you doing? You need to prepare something special for me, maybe a sweet dessert or something I like because I refuse to ept this verbal way of appreciation." Mrs. Qin said as she remained standing in her spot.


    "Alright, my Goddess, I will prepare a sweet dish to say thank you. Can you leave me now?." Jia Li asked with a smile.


    "No way, we are not done talking." Mrs. Qin said with an excited tone as she walked towards Jia Li''s bed to sit on it with a smile.


    "Mum! what do you want to hear?." Jia Li asked with a scrunched-up look on her face. She very well knew her mother was interested in gossip.


    "What did you and Li Huan talk about, you took a while toe back into the house. Your father noticed and I had to distract him." Mrs. Qin spoke just like the good mother that she was.


    "Nothing much. He asked how I was doing, then we exchanged contacts." Jia Li replied.


    "Is that all?." Mrs. Qin asked with a smirk.


    "He said he would call meter." Jia Li added as sheid down on her bed, refusing to look at her mother.


    "I can see you''re blushing, but there is no time for that. Come and make me your promised sweet dish, I will be waiting in my bedroom." Mrs. Qin said as she walked towards the door.


    Jia Li raised her head and turned to look at her mother who was about to leave her room.


    "Mum iste already, please leave it till tomorrow." She pleaded. She didn''t want to enter the kitchen to cook anything.


    "Hello baby, I''ll be leaving for work early tomorrow morning." Mrs. Qin informed her.
