‘This is...’
The Demon Hunters who were about to disperse stood frozen at the sight before their eyes. Their eyes flickered with uncertainty as they released their majestic auras which were apanied by the activation of their elemental powers.
The Shadow Legion army in the sky had been decreased to half its original number. Even with reinforcementsing from all directions, they were unable to match the pace of the Bright Sorcerers’ massacre speed. Their defeat was assured at this point.
However, that does not mean that the Shadow Legion army was going to give up all means of resistance and await the fate of being ughtered. At least from the current situation, multiple Bright Sorcerers’ Voidships had fallen ever since the war began.
ording to the Bright Sorcerers’ ability level categorization, Voidships often acted as a strategic power stronghold. In other words, it was a trustworthy fortress for an army of sorcerers in the front lines. Without the power of a level 3 creature, it was extremely difficult to damage a Voidship.
Judging from the present situation, certain high-level creatures from this world must have joined the war between the Bright Sorcerers and the Shadow Legion army in the sky.
With a weapon like the Voidships, it was easy to turn the table in small scale wars.
Behind the falling Voidship, countless Golden Amonros chased after the ship from the skies like grains falling from a funnel. On the other hand, a group of seven to eight hundred Bright Sorcerers charged towards the Amonros, desperate to prevent them from damaging the ship any further, in hopes that the Bright Sorcerers within the ship could save it from the fate of a crashnding.
On the other side of the battlefield, the Bright Sorcerers who noticed the falling Voidship swiftly changed their formation. Under the rumbling sound of the motors, seven megalodon shark-like Voidships turned and closed in on their distance with the falling ship.
Under normal circumstances, the Voidships consisted of anti-gravitational systems. That way, even when the Voidship was heavily damaged to the point where it was falling from the skies, if the anti-gravitational systems were activated, they could still continue to provide firepower for a little longer along with the repairs being done within the ship.
However, if it crashnded onto the ground, only the scrap yard awaited it.
The Demon Hunters on the ground watched the Voidship inch closer and closer to the surface until it was less than a thousand meters away from the surface. The Demon Hunters knew that it was already toote to save this ship as it showed no signs that it would float again.
Eventually, all Demon Hunters jetted towards the sky in unison. Various types of elemental energies scattered in the air as the Demon Hunters flew to the sky like a cannonball that was being shot from the surface.
The space on Grimm’s shoulder twisted and the Myna returned to Grimm’s side. However, when he noticed the scene of a huge crowd of Demon Hunters flying towards the sky, he yelped and ran back into the Dimensional Gap.
As they got closer to the falling ship, they noticed that the ship’s tail had a huge burning hole with the sounds of explosions being heard from the inner parts of the ship. The outer part of the ship, on the other hand, was swarmed by Golden Amonros, like honey beingtched on by countless of ants.
With thebination of the seventy to eighty Demon Hunters and reinforcements sent by the Bright Sorcerers from the skies, they managed to achieve an increase in their numbers where more than two thousand sorcerers were fighting off the Shadow Legion army.
Hmm?
Suddenly, the group of Demon Hunters witnessed an unbelievable sight on the ship which sent cold chills down their spine.
Normally, a Voidship of such a size required thirty and above Bright Sorcerers to pilot. However, only one terrified Level 2 Bright Sorcerer Captain managed to escape from the inner parts of the ship.
As soon as the captain showed himself, he was dragged back into the ship by a pure ck Enigmatic Energy. Fully aware that he could no longer escape, the captain made hisst struggle and gestured for the Demon Hunters to stay away before he was dragged back into the ship.
Stay away? What does it mean?
Did the Level 2 Sorcerer Captain just tell the reinforcements to leave?
Grimm’s face whitened, he grabbed the Myna which was hiding in the Dimensional Gap and tossed it into another Dimensional Gap, then he ordered it through soulmunication, “Go pinpoint a location.”
The Myna flew as fast as it could. Within the blink of an eye, it disappeared from sight.
The distance between the Voidship and the Demon Hunters was now less than two hundred meters apart. Grimm and the Demon Hunters had their Sorcerer Barriers activated and had gathered some spells on their hands.
No one dared to be careless as they waited for the enemy within the ship to show itself.
Even with therge number of Shadow Legion army, they were not as much of a threat for the strong group of Dark Sorcererspared to the unknown enemy inside the ship.
Due to the time spent on preparations earlier, a ck fire st energy ball floated in front of Grimm’s magic staff. Its surrounding air was not stable due to the high concentration of the energy ball.
Creak!
Under the loud creaking sounds of metal being bent, a bulge on the fallen Voidship exploded from within. The metal around the protruding buldge managed to hold on for a few moments before it was torn apart like paper. Soon, a ten meter wide energy cluster squeezed out from the inside.
The tension in the air rose instantly as the Dark Sorcerers felt a suffocating suppression from a superior creature.
A level 4 creature!
Suddenly, a Dark Sorcerer screamed, and everyoneunched the spells that they had prepared in a panicked state. After that, they fled to different directions as fast as they could.
Only a Level 4 creature had a chance against another Level 4 creature.
If they were to surround a high-level creature with a huge sum of low-level creatures, they had to meet a few criteria. One of the criteria was that the Level 4 creature did not have any followers by its side, and secondly, the lower-level creatures had to have something that could contain the Level 4 creature.
Bright Sorcerers who usually worked in groups could achieve such a feat. However, it was known to be impossible for Dark Sorcerers.
In the current situation, the number of Amonros that were apanying the Level 4 creature exceeded the number of sorcerers within this area.
Boom! Boom! Boom...
Everyst one of the sorcerers’ spells, including Grimm’s Fire st Spell, instantly flooded the Level 4 creature as well as the low-level Amonros around it.
Among these attack spells, the offense power of Grimm’s Fire st Spell was only at the intermediate level. There were multiple spells that greatly exceeded the power of the Fire st Spell among the shower of offensive spells. Thebination of all these spells pulled the destroyed Voidship into an energy chaos along with the Level 4 creature.
The strong wind caused by the st bent the Sorcerers’ Barriers. Grimm fled in horror as he constantly looked back to check on the situation within the chaos.
This energy cluster was most likely a high-level Guardian of this world. A Guardian which was capable of fighting off any Level 4 intruders.
Woosh!
Suddenly, a shadow emerged from the energy chaos. The ‘evil’ energy around it did not even make a scratch on the shadow. Even with the adaption of Grimm’s Mystic Eye, the shadow was incredibly fast. It overtook Grimm before he even had the time to respond.
Subsequently, a loud ‘bang’ was heard and the Level 2 Dark Sorcerer who was a few hundred meters in front of Grimm evaporated into a blood mist.
At that moment, Grimm froze as he felt cold sweat run down his spine as if death had barely missed him. His eyes instantly flickered with an unbelievable amount of despair.
This is what a Level 4 creature was capable of?
This was not something that low-level creatures could resist! Even the Level 2 Sorcerer who had a strong resistance against physical attacks was turned into a blood mist before he had the chance to activate his body’s elemental ability.
Within the blood mists, a blurry shadowser dashed away from the scene. It seemed that it was the Sorcerer’s life preservation sorcery.
Grimm had seen countless low-level sorcerers casting a weakened version of this sorcery. Under normal circumstances, this ‘deceased’ Level 2 Sorcerer could survive the attack as long as he continued to flee the scene after casting that spell.
However, the Level 4 Enigmatic Amonro Guardian once again overtook the shadowser and turned it into another blood mist.
The Level 2 Dark Sorcerer did not survive this time around.
Woosh...
All of a sudden, seven ck shadowsers dashed towards a single location. Within the screams of despair, the seven sorcerers shrunk into a few-centimeters-tall tiny creature and flew straight into the Level 4 Amonro Guardian’s mouth.
Even with the Mystic Eye’s speed adaption, Grimm was unable to have a clear look at what had just happened!
Grimm was horrified to the point where he felt that death had just arrived on his doorstep. Before the cruel truth of reality, his face was as white as a sheet. This was something that Grimm could never even begin to imagine, what more to attempt resisting it. It was like a mere Knight trying to resist an official Sorcerer.
Grimm instinctively turned and fled to another direction.
The moment he turned, another blood mist appeared from a different direction, as if it was a death message from the sorcerer who had fled faster than Grimm.
Grimm turned his head to another direction and another blood mist appeared. This blood mist contained a few golden sparkles and Grimm managed to identify the sorcerer, it was the Demon Hunter who was nearly sealed by the Enigmatic Prophet.
To think that he died like this after escaping from doom...
At the same time, the sorcerers who were currently situated around the center witnessed their fellow sorcerers explode into blood mists. It was like an energy ring that would explode when touched, its coverage area shrunk closer to the center as time passed. Some low-level sorcerers tried to stop this nightmare, but all efforts ended up in vain.
As the numbers of Demon Hunters decreased, more despair lingered in the air.
There were even some Demon Hunters who died before they even got the chance to show their despair.
Grimm gasped for air as he quickly retreated from the scene with the help of the Mystic Eye. Eventually, he managed to catch up with the figure that continuously traveled through dimensions from afar. Grimm could not help but growl, “Did you pinpoint a location yet? What’s taking you so long?!”
Grimm felt as if he already had one foot in his grave as blood mists continued to explode around him. He did not have any idea how to prevent it, the levels between them were far too great.
The Guardian of the Amonro’s World which was massacring the Demon Hunters was just like the time when Grimm was ughtering those low-level Amonros. Even with the resistance from arge number of low-level Amonros, Grimm had no trouble killing them with the advantage of his superior creature level.
However, at this very moment, Grimm and his fellow Demon Hunters had be the ‘Amonros’ that were waiting to be ughtered.
