143 Going to City D
“Is it possible?” Kate asked, she was unsure about it.
“Normally no.” Kyle felt that all the knowledge he had known so far had beenpletely overturned. He looked at the little girl in his hand and took a deep breath.
For some reason, he had an inkling whose DNA this belong to.
But at the same time, he didn’t want to go over and confirm it.
“The test isplete. This is the materials for the clothes, it’s made out of cat’s fur,pletely from the top to bottom.” Dr. Dall handed the report to Kyle.
“Got it, erase the report.”
“It has been done.”
Dr. Dall knew very well that the only reason why Kyle wanted to use hisb was precisely because it was easier to erase the record from here. And even if it couldn’t be erased, he could ask for Dn’s help to erase the traces.
“Good. Anything else?”

“There are some reports in regards to other pets.” Dr. Dall’s expression turned a bit strange. “Some pets did have abilities and take care of their master, but after the second rain, many of them are dying.”
“Dying?” Kyle looked at Dr. Dall deeply. “What do you mean?”
“They grew older a bit faster than normal, thus cutting off their lifespan. Some of them even have unstable abilities and seemed that they wouldn’t be able tost long.” Dr. Dall shivered when he heard Kyle’s dangerous tone.
“How’s Little Kitty?”
“So far, everything is normal. But I can’t exactly count her rate of growth when you’re not even here most of the time.”
“Hmm.” Kate looked at her hand and legs. She was already 21 years old, so it would be strange for her to stay in this form forever either way. It would be better for her to be able to grow older faster so that she would be able to return to her normal life too.
Normal life, huh?
In this kind of world, what kind of normal life should she even expect?
Kate felt a bit at loss.
Kyle looked at the little girl who fell into deep thought and didn’t bother her anymore. He took the record and kept it away before destroying any evidences that could leave their presence here.
After it was done, Kyle walked out of theboratory while carrying Kate in his arm.
“Huh?” Kate’s father walked out of hisb and saw Kyle was carrying a little girl in his arm. She was wearing a hat that covered most of her countenance, but Kate’s father felt as if he was seeing his daughter.
His daughter when she was still a kid.
“Kate?” Kate’s father asked numbly.
However, Kyle and Kate had already left.
Kate’s Father looked in the direction and blinked his eyes. He thought for a moment before sighing deeply. When they returned to City B againter, he would ask about this.
If that little girl was truly his daughter...
He wanted to know why she ended up turning into a little girl.

Jake and the others were already there. They waved their hand when they saw Kyle appearing.
“Get on the car. We’re going to leave soon.”
“Ok.”
Kyle nced at Dn and saw that the man was still as cold as ever. Dn was not close to his cousins at all, which was why Dn actually didn’t care even if something were to happen to his cousin in that City D.
But of course, Dn couldn’t say it outright in front of other people’s face.
And with Dn’s silent personality, he simply said nothing.
“Little Kitty, you’re not going to go as a cat?” Lotte’s eyes were focused on Kate and when they finally departed, she finally spoke out.
After all, if she were to call Little Kitty when they were in the city, there might be others who heard this name and felt strange. No other people would name their children this way. It was more like an awful name for pets.
“Kyle asked me to,” Kate answered seriously.
“I’m your father.” Kyle looked at Kate.
“Kyle,” Kate refused to call him father and red back at him.
Kyle sighed helplessly and helped Kate to sit on hisp before turning to look at Lotte. “She’s just a bit naughty.”
Lotte pursed her lips. “Come to big sister, Little Kitty.”
“Mhm.”
This time, Kate moved to Lotte and let this girl hugged her. Lotte was so happy that she really wanted to nt kisses on Little Kitty’s cheek.
Of course, Kate evaded.
“Hahaha,” Jakeughed. “Don’t you think it’ll be better if we have our own child so that you can spend more time with them?”
“What are you saying?” Lotte red at Jake. “Besides, how do you even know that the child will inherit this mutation? What if they’re just normal child?”
Jake was at loss.
This mutation was something new that only urred for the past two or so months. How could he know if the mutation was gics and would be inherited by the next generation or not?
Kyle picked Kate up from Lotte’s arm and hugged her tightly. In any case, he had no intention of leaving Kate in other people’s arm. He would rather hug her all the time rather than letting others take care of her.
“Tsk, you possessive man.” Lotte rolled her eyes at Kyle and then turned her head to look at her boyfriend. “How long would it take for us to reach City D?”
“Around two to three days. You can just rest for now.”
“Got it.”
The journey was long.
After squirming a few times, Kate finally chose to return being a cat rather than staying as a human. The clothes were left when she turned into a cat, so she could only put them away into her space.
The journey was rtively smooth.
Aside from some asional giant mutated animals appearing and then dealt with quickly, there was nothing else that blocked their way from heading to City D. It was a very smooth journey.
On the third day, they reached a dpidated vige that was only around half an hour distance from City D. Kate was sleeping peacefully while Kyle looked outside and saw that there was amotion at the front.
“What’s that?” Jake frowned and looked through the window.
They saw a woman screaming and yelling for help. She looked desperate and there were several men who were chasing after her from behind. It seemed that she had suffered greatly in their hand.
“Shall we help?” Lotte frowned. She had morepassion as a fellow female, but she felt that the woman’s action was a bit deliberate. It was unknown why, but she felt that there was something wrong.
“No.” Kyle shook his head.
“Ah, why?” Jake asked. He thought that they were going to help that poor woman from dealing with these men.
“She’s with them. This is just a y.” Kyle’s senses were far better than the others. In his opinion, this woman was just acting and the men were all part of the ploy in order to rob the people who passed by this vige.
Some people with strong sense of justice wille over, trying to help.
But as a person who had seen how low people could do when the situation called for it, he knew very well that it was not impossible for them to make use of other people’s kindness. Exploiting kindhearted people by morally kidnapped them had always happened even during time of peace.
It was indeed very bad and those who were willing to act kind eventually didn’t dare to step up because of so many frauds who tried to take advantage of them.
And in this kind of world where it was hard to survive?
There would be more and more people who would be willing to step so low and employed this kind of tricks just to make sure that they would be able to take advantage of others. How many people had fallen for their trick?
“Oh.” Lotte looked at the group of people before lowering her eyes again.
She was not a pampered daughter in a greenhouse and had seen that in the face of profit and others, there were many people who dared to make use of other people’s kindness. Thus, being softhearted would usually just end up harming themselves.
That was why Lotte never allow herself to be softhearted towards others.
She didn’t want to be used by other people.
“Let’s just leave.”
“Mhm.”
Looking at their direction once more, Lotte then looked away.
Kyle tapped the seat and said nothing. They couldn’t control other people, so all they could do was to do things in ordance to what they wanted to and believed in.
Kate opened her eyes and looked outside.
She then closed it again.
Soon, the car left the dpidated vige as if they had never even passed by the location.
