    Liu Wenying started to scold the man as soon as she got a chance, “Hey! You! You have to change the way you talk to your kid. Why didn’t he tell you the truth? He was too scared of you! He couldn’t even talk when you got mad. Fortunately, it wasn’t anything serious this time and Mr. Manager helped you solve the problem. What if something worse happens next time?”


    The man was in the wrong, so he didn’t say anything back.


    “I am so sorry, Mr. Manager. Thisdy is right. I am short-tempered. Toote to change it now. Oh, right… Mr. Manager, can I get some medicine from you?”


    Liu Wenying said, “It is never toote!”


    Zhang Zian had some normal medicines but he could not sell them because he was not a vet. If he sold pet medicine without a license, it could be very troublesome if someone found out. After the talk with Xiao Yan, he was being extremely careful.

    Zhang Zian said to Tiny Chubby Tiger, “Well, stop eating snacks. You won’t get a girlfriend if you get too big!”


    Tiny Chubby Tiger saw that the problem was resolved, he wiped his mucus and said, “I have a girlfriend. It has nothing to do with figure. Mr. Manager, you are skinny and you can’t get a girlfriend yourself!” Upon saying that, he followed his dad out of the store.

    Zhang Zian froze. His was sad and humiliated.

    Looking at Zhang Zian’s face, Zhao Qi and Liu Wenying both couldn’t stopughing. Theyughed so hard that their bellies hurt. Yue Yue didn’t know what was going on. She saw her momughing so hard that she startedughing too.


    “Oh no! Today was way more fun than I anticipated,” Zhao Qi wiped herughing tears.


    “I know! This is so funny! I feel like I am 10 years younger!” Liu continuedughing as she spoke. She put her thumbs up to Zhang Zian. “Mr. Manager, you are very professional. I admire you for that. Look, I am almost 40 years old and I don’t feel this way often. When ites to pets, you are the best!”


    “Oh…well… that is just mymon sense. If I don’t know this kind of basic stuff then I don’t deserve to be in the industry…?” Zhang Zian exaggerated the fact to hide his embarrassment. However, Zhao Qi didn’t understand his humor, so heughed at himself. “You should’ve picked on me.”


    Zhao Qi nced at him and didn’t do anything.


    “Ah…I really don’t understand you young kids… Oh, regarding checking the rib on a dog, does it apply to all dogs? My coworkers and friends have dogs at home. Maybe I can show off sometime. Ha-ha…” Liu was interested.


    “Well…” Zhang Zian thought for a second, “I haven’t seen all kinds of dogs myself… I guess, it should work on all dogs, besides the super huge or tiny ones.”


    “Perfect! As long as it applies to most dogs!” Liu Wenying was thrilled.


    Zhao Qi didn’t say a word because at this point she really had nothing to say. She knew Zhang Zian knew a lot about pets and she would not be able to take advantage of him.


    “We are leaving for real this time. Come here, Yue Yue. Say goodbye to Mr. Manager,” Liu said holding her daughter’s hand.


    “Goodbye, Uncle Manager!” Yue Yue said as she waved at Zhang Zian.


    Zhang Zian winked at her, “Don’t call me Uncle Manager. Call me Brother Manager. Brother is always 18 years old.”


    Yue Yue was confused. She looked at her mom for help.


    Liuughed. She left with Yue Yue and her cat.


    Zhao Qi still was unhappy. She wanted to give Zhang Zian the middle finger but she left with Liu Wenying.


    Problem solved! Zhang Zian returned to the store andy down on his recliner, hoping a customer would show up.


    Fina jumped to another cat tree. The first one was in the shade, so she switched to one that was under the sun. Xinghai came back down to y hide and seek with the kittens after everyone left.


    “You did great, buddy.” Old Time Tea moved her eyes from the TV show Naughty Blue Cat With 3000 Questions to turn her head and praise Zhang Zian.


    “Well, you are too kind.”


    Zhang Zian had to behave in front of the benevolent and righteous cat.


    “It is not easy for a young fellow like yourself to be so patient. There is a hidden gem inside of you. Facing an angry person, the best thing is keep calm and go on. Sometimes, your peace and wisdom may change the angry man’s understanding. Compromise will make a conflict much easier to resolve.”


    Zhang Zian listened closely.


    “You are right. My parents always told me not to bully my ssmates. If someone bullied me, never start a fight. I have to think about whether I did something wrong first. If I did, I had to make it right and ask for forgiveness. If I wasn’t wrong, I should report to the teacher and ask the teacher to resolve the problem.”


    “Just a bit of encouragement.” Old Time Tea smiled. “Your father was a good guy. He taught you well. It is a pity I never met him.”


    Old Time Tea returned to watching her show after she finished. She was having lots of fun. Zhang Zian rxed andid back down on the recliner. He felt like he was hanging out with a respectable old gentleman. This made him nervous.


    He raised his head and saw Fina looking at him with contempt. She looked like she was saying, “What a fake dork!”


    Zhang Zian responded to her with his eyes, “I am not faking. I am just showing care to the elderly. You are the untruthful cat!”
