    “A celebration? For what?” Xu Jiaojiao grabbed her bag, her eyes filled with confusion.


    “To celebrate you getting rid of that scumbag and regaining true love! To celebrate your aesthetic standards finally evolving from that scumbag Lu Zhuo to a domineering CEO! Anyway, all of it is worth celebrating!”


    Xu Jiaojiao was speechless. ‘You’re just looking for an excuse to go for a barbecue, aren’t you?’


    Ever since they returned from Irnd, Xu Jiaojiao and Qi Shenbai had hardly met. From the moment Xu Jiaojiao discovered her feelings for Qi Shenbai, she did not know how to face him. Every time he spoke to her in a maic voice, she would always think of that dream at an inappropriate time.


    All else aside, Qi Shenbai was quite a few years older than Xu Jiaojiao. How could he not tell that she had been hiding from him? She kept finding excuses to not make breakfast, leaving early in the morning and returningte at night every day. Oftentimes, he could not even catch a glimpse of her.

    At one point, the weather started to turn cold. When Xu Jiaojiao woke up one morning, she felt a stuffy feeling in her nose. She turned her head and saw that the window was not closed. The red maple leaves outside were fluttering in the wind.

    “In this season, there’s a huge temperature difference between day and night. It’s easy to catch a cold. You must remember to close the window before you go to bed.” The butler was worried. “Why don’t we call the doctor over to take a look at you?”


    Qi Shenbai had his own family doctor, so it was not troublesome to call him over.


    Xu Jiaojiao waved her hand. “It’s nothing serious. I still have to go to schoolter.
