Introduction: An old school, epic length, science-fantasy adventure.In The Medallion, Corvan鈥檚 ongoing subterranean adventure becomes increasingly complicated by his dependence to the power of the lumien seeds. The storyline expands to include Kate鈥檚 POV and the city of Kadir becomes a doorway to other caverns, cities and settlements.Please note that my story is not LitRPG, Progression, Cultivation, Portal or any of the other popular genres. In this story the MC is a social outcast who keeps making poor choices and does not stand up for himself. This will be a slow coming of age with many stumbles along the way. BACKGROUND INFOAs a child of the 1960鈥檚, I set out to write a classic science-fantasy, a throwback to the stories from the golden age of science fiction and fantasy. My subterranean adventure takes place in a Midwest mining town in 1952. The MC is a social outcast who keeps making poor choices and does not stand up for himself. This will be a slow coming of age with many stumbles along the way.  The content warning relates to the addictive properties of a substance found in the Cor and how that impacts the teen MC and others. This subplot becomes more intense in book II. The Cor is intended to be a fun retro read and is not LitRPG or Progression. In keeping with the "old school" concept I don't normally interject author notes or other content into the story.  A.I. is not used in writing or artwork.
