Chapter 40: A Departure Is But Another Beginning

    Inside the bedroom.


    Xin Zaozao and her father sat on the balcony. They were both very restrained.


    Xin He broke the silence. “Do you feel like I don’t pay you enough attention?”


    Xin Zaozao did not expect Xin He to open the conversation with such blunt words. She shook her head. “You have things that kept you busy. I can understand that.”


    Xin He heaved a sigh. “I’ve actually reflected on it and realized that I’ve indeed done you wrong.     Mu Cidian stared at her coldly through the rearview mirror.


    He could not sense any emotion from this woman anymore.


    “My presence here will affect you. You’ll definitely send me away,” Xin Zaozao stated very bluntly.


    The marriage between Mu Cidian and the Wu Qianyuan was beneficial to the Xin family. Mu Cidian would not dare to offend Wu Qianyuan. Xin Zaozao would be like a ticking time bomb if she stayed here. And more importantly, she was the sole sessor to the Xin family, at least in name.     However, Mu Cidian suddenly pulled her into his embrace, hard. Xin Zaozao was caughtpletely off guard and hit her nose on his chest. It was painful, and there was only pain. Then, she felt Mu Cidian’s arms hold her tight, his head buried in her neck. She felt the warm breathing out of his nose fluttering on her skin.


    Yet she felt nothing in her heart.


    Xin Zaozao indifferently epted his intimate actions.


    The next second, her brows furrowed, and her teeth clenched.


    Mu Cidian had given her a hard bite on the neck.


    He let go of her, turned around and walked away.


    His strides wererge and hurried, as if he had just touched something he shouldn’t, and he wanted to distance himself from it as quickly as possible.


    Xin Zaozao rubbed her neck, then turned around to go through security checks.


    Whatever. It was over.


    But little did she know this was only the beginning!
