The Hammer - Cor Series Book 1
An old school, epic length, science-fantasy adventure. On the eve of his 15th birthday, Corvan discovers a small stone hammer buried beneath his backyard fort. The hammer opens hidden doors and reveals family secrets. When his best friend Kate is taken prisoner, Corvan will leave his small town to rescue her, but first he must make an uneasy alliance with the guardian of the labyrinth.NOTE: This volume is completed and is presented here as a stand-alone novel.BACKGROUND INFOAs a child of the 1960鈥檚, I set out to write a classic science-fantasy, a throwback to the stories from the golden age of science fiction and fantasy. Coincidentally, my subterranean adventure takes place in a Midwest mining town in 1952. The MC is a social outcast who keeps making poor choices and does not stand up for himself so this will be a slow coming of age with many stumbles along the way. The content warning relates to the addictive properties of a substance found in the Cor and how that impacts the teen MC and others. This subplot becomes more intense in book II. The Cor is intended to be a fun retro read and is not LitRPG or Progression. In keeping with the "old school" concept I don't interject author notes or other external content into the story. A.I. is not used in writing or artwork. At present, chapters on RR are released only on weekends as I am working on setting up my Patreon pages. Thanks for your understanding.
