Qiao Tian Chang looked at the men’s expressions and said, “I’ll ask Lei An toe over. We’ll talk more about this when he arrives. For now, please follow me to my ce.”
The investigators exchanged nces and then nodded: “Very well, let’s wait for Lei An toe over then.”
Looking at them leave, Ning Meng Yao walked to Yang Le Le’s side and patted her shoulder: “Don’t worry too much, nothing bad will happen.”
Yang Le Le nodded silently: “Okay. Yao Yao, is Brother Lei An reallying?”
Ning Meng Yao smiled slightly. She pinched Yang Le Le’s face and asked: “You want to see him so much? Do you like him?”
Yang Le Le’s face reddened. She pushed Ning Meng Yao’s hand away and looked at her shyly: “What are you saying? I just want to thank him. After all, he saved me.” Ning Meng Yaoughed at how her voice was getting softer and softer.
“Oh, so it’s like that.”
“I... I got to go.” Yang Le Le stood up and ran back into her room.
Amazed by how fast Yang Le Le escaped, Ning Meng Yao couldn’t help butugh out loud. Madame Yang and Madame Qiao who were standing at the side,ughed at how the two were interacting.
They also felt that the two of them were quite a match so they were fine with it. After all, Lei An was a good man.
After Qiao Tian Chang brought the men to his home, he looked at them: “What are you guys doing here?”
He didn’t believe that the people above had ordered these guys toe over to just simply ask a few questions.
“General.”
“That’s enough. I’m just an ordinary hunter in this vige.” Qiao Tian Chang frowned and waved them to get up.
“General, the emperor wants you to handle this issue.” the two people looked at each other, then one of them took a step forward and exined to Qiao Tian Chang.
He had disappeared after helping the emperor obtain the throne, and no one knew where he went. They felt weird that they were sent here since the incident which they have to resolve has urred at such a small vige. However, upon seeing Qiao Tian Chang, they understood their purpose.
“I will never agree. I don’t want to care about these things now. As for the incident, you men can handle it.” Qiao Tian Chang didn’t want to take over this investigation.
He understood the emperor’s purpose. If he took over this matter, whatever happened to the people in this vige in the future would most likely be his problem as well.
If that was the case, then it would be against his initial intention which wasn’t what he wanted.
“But...” The second man tried to say something more but Qiao Tian Chang interrupted him.
“You don’t have to say anything more. If you guys can’t even handle something matter like this, then I wonder what you are able to do.” Qiao Tian Chang looked at them coldly.
These two men were his trusted people. It was only because of this that they were sent here to deal with the incident. If he had to be involved in this himself, then he really should ask for a change in the people under him.
Upon hearing this, the two stepped back. They would be seeking for their own deaths if they really let him settle this for them.
“We understand. We’ll handle this well.”
Qiao Tian Chang nodded with satisfaction: “Very well. Lei An should probably arrive tomorrow so you guys can talk over it. Don’t trouble me.” He was very busy and didn’t have time to talk to them.
“Understood.” The two felt helpless.
This matter was clearly his tp handle, so how did it be theirs?
“Speak out, if you have something to say. Don’t swear in your hearts.” Qiao Tian Chang squinted at the two people in front of him and warned coldly.
The powerful aura from him made them stand up straight immediately: “No... We have nothing to say.”, “Yes, that’s right. There isn’t any”
“Then leave.”
The two opened their mouths. They wanted to ask him why couldn’t they stay since there were rooms at his ce.

Ning Meng Yao returned at the same time. Seeing him at the door, she asked: “What are you doing standing at the door for?”
