Sobbing in Matthew’s embrace, nca was nowpletely ignorant about how inappropriate it might seem.


    She was freaked out.


    Quite a whileter, nca heard Matthew’sforting voice. She sniffed with her eyes swollen and got out of his hug. She felt a bit embarrassed afterward, “Why… Why are you here?”


    “If I didn’t make it in time, you would be in big trouble.”


    Thinking of what happened just now, Matthew’s face went darker.

    nca sniffed her nose, but she was pulled up by Matthew already.


    There were quite many red traces on nca’s wrists as she had been tied up by Todd and his people and she fought hard to try to get away. And now her clothes were all broken, showing arge part of her snow-white skin.


    Matthew peaked over and looked away immediately. He quickly took off his suit jacket – Perhaps his action seemed too natural, and nca was still in the fear that Todd had brought her, she was scared right away.


    “What are you doing, Matthew Grant? Put your clothes on!” nca’s eyes were filled with resistance. What Matthew did made her take a step back subconsciously.


    Seeing nca in deep fright worried Matthew so much, and for some reason, his anger got fueled up looking over at Todd, who was held by Curtis already.


    Matthew went ahead and gave Todd a few kicks.


    Then he looked at nca again, being a bit upset, “If I put my clothes on, are you nning to go back home like this, aren’t you?”


    What Matthew meant was – He had been blocking everyone else for nca so no one would see her in this awkward shape. Up until now, nca realized her shoulders had been showing, which was not ssy, or decent at all…


    More importantly, she had misunderstood Matthew!


    Matthew was actually trying to offer her something to put upon out of the concern and a caring heart, but nca… nca blushed in embarrassment, and she didn’t know where to put her hands. She covered her chest with her hands feeling awkward. Matthew saw her being that way, he smiled and threw his suit jacket upon her.


    “Put this on!”


    “Okay…”


    nca kept her head down and covered herself up with Matthew’s jacket. She relieved a sigh after making sure she was all covered up. And the light after-shave fragrance on the jacket made her feel at ease.


    The sky gradually darkened down and the burning clouds in the sky were extremely beautiful. nca was following right behind Matthew, and she looked at Todd, who had been hard beaten up. nca was hesitant to say anything.


    “What do we do about him?” By asking so, she wasn’t looking out for Todd. She was only unsure what to do with him after what he had done to herself.


    Matthew gave Todd a stare. Todd was being held by Curtis, trembling. Matthew said, “I don’t want to see him again in Oakshire.”


    “Copy that. I’m on it!”


    Curtis nodded and left grabbing Todd…


    Seeing them go off, nca pulled the clothes closer with her fingers. And of course, Matthew noticed all little movements and emotions.
