 OfK:OP is finally over.

 

 That was quite an experience. My very first try at writing. I’m rather pleased by it. Of course I know it’s not perfect. Far from it. One just needs to take a look at the whole Marine arc to see that. 900 words chapters, horrible pacing,plicated plot, very bad prologue. Ugh… Not the greatest thing ever.

 Comparing them withter chapters though there is a improvement that I’m proud of. Some mayugh at that but I don’t mind.

 It has taken me three years to finish it. Including almost two years of Hiatus.

 

 First things first, I’d like to thank all the readers who read my story even if some may have stopped on the way for whatever reasons. The number of views constantly rising did lots of good for my mental health.

 Second, I’d like to thank the readers whomented. Nothing hits home more that your work is liked than seeing people discuss it. Even if somements are negative, it doesn’t make you feel all that good though.

 

 Third… I’m sorry for taking two more years than necessary. Life got in the way, but I think I already said that before.

 

 One of the most difficult parts to write had been the fights. That’s not something that I particrly enjoy writing. That’s why there are so few and why most of the time I skipped the fight of everyone that is not Rick. I’m currently trying to fix that in the way I write.

 

 Now I’m shutting up, here the fun facts or you know… just facts.

 

 Fun facts:

 <ul>

 <li style="font-weight:400">The original harem included: Robin (obviously), Nami, Vivi, Hancock, Reiju, Bonney, Yamato, Vi, Tsuru, Domino, Shirahoshi.

 Almost half of it was scrapped. I really wanted Yamato in but he didn’t have much screen time and that was before the hiatus. So I removed him from the list.

 </li>

 <li style="font-weight:400">Reiju already barely had some screen time and while I wanted more for her, it didn’t fit the story I had in mind.

 </li>

 <li style="font-weight:400">Tsuru is ambiguous, she loves Rick, but she’s in her seventies (despite looking like a total MILF). So she keeps wearing her engagement ring on herself and gets a french kiss every time she visits O’hara but otherwise she removes herself from the list.

 </li>

 <li style="font-weight:400">Remember the princess Rick saved and nearly died doing it? It was supposed to be young Boney. Except canon made revtions about her and… well… Scrapped all her arc, which I think was a good thing.

 </li>

 <li style="font-weight:400">If I ever write a ‘what if’ with Rick staying in the marines, Domino will be included. Perhaps even the main squeeze if I manage to find the strength to not make it Robin. Or perhaps not and may not be a love interest or even a one night stand at all.

 </li>

 <li style="font-weight:400">The first time the crew left Wano they were supposed to go straight to Elbaf.

 </li>

 <li style="font-weight:400">Egghead wasn’t supposed to exist. And technically it doesn’t in the story since the ind they find Vegapunk and his satellites is never named.

 </li>

 <li style="font-weight:400">In fact Vegapunk should not have been seen ever again. I did because I needed someone smart and good at heart to help Diana.

 </li>

 <li style="font-weight:400">Speaking of Diana, she wasn’t ever supposed to exist in the first ce (I think I already said that). Instead Rick would have had a battle of mind and soul against the sea devil and won. His victory spoil would have been the ability to swim and to not be weak to water.

 </li>

 <li style="font-weight:400">Eri wasn’t supposed to join the crew but I wanted Rick to get better mentally speaking. The development of his rtionship with his eldest daughter was the perfect opportunity for it in my opinion.

 </li>

 <li style="font-weight:400">The Void century was always supposed to be: Twenty kingdoms aligned unjustly against the Lost Kingdom out of pure greed. To cover up their crimes and make it easier to create the World Government, they forbid the study of the poneglyphs and banned any records of the whole century. The part with Diana was developedter.

 </li>

 <li style="font-weight:400">The part about Reverse Mountain was present from the very beginning. Instead of the Lost Kingdom being under it, it would have been the One Piece which technically is the case.

 </li>

 <li style="font-weight:400">The part about Roger and Luffy not really being the Pirate king was there at the beginning too. So was the fight with Shanks in a Davy Back Fight.

 </li>

 <li style="font-weight:400">Rick being captured by the navy and his execution were there from the beginning too. It didn’t go quite like I had in mind at first, but the story had changed since then and I adapted.

 </li>

 <li style="font-weight:400">Thest two arcs were supposed to be five chapters in total at best but somewhat it became twice as much.
