    “I underestimated you, Mr. Tanner,” Nn said, his lips curling into a faint smile that didn’t reach his

    Francis, desperate to achieve his goal, mustered a strained smile, “I just hope Mr. Harris will give my


    proposal another thought before outright refusal.”


    “Hasn’t anyone ever taught you, Mr. Tanner, to think before you speak? If you’re not familiar with that


    concept, perhaps you should ask your daughter. She seems to have at good grasp on it.”


    Nn spoke emotionlessly, “And if you’re not afraid of dying, feel free to reach out to my family.”
