    Francis helped Regina upright and said with a gentle smile, “You know, Emma knows your tastes better


    than anyone. Had I not insisted that she give you some time to recover, I bet she’d be here right now


    and crying her eyes out in front of you.”


    At the mention of Emma, Regina’s face softened into a smile. “Then you’ll have to tell her I’m feeling


    better and there’s no need to worry!


    Just then, with perfect timing, Imogen suggested that Regina shoulde back home to stay.


    Regina quietly nibbled on a bagel, a familiarfort made by Emma’s own hands.


    Francis didn’t immediately respond but listened as Imogen continued, “After such a scare, and with her


    still so frail, it doesn’t make sense for Regina to be living alone. How can she possibly take care of


    herself properly?


    It’s better for her at home with the family. We can look after her, and she can enjoy her favorite foods.


    She’ll heal faster that way, right Francis?”


    Francis nodded in agreement, yet he didn’t make any decisions for Regina.


    “Regina, do you want toe home? If you don’t want to, I can ask Emma to send some folks over to


    look after you for a while.” he offered.


    Regina caught Imogen’s calcting gaze and couldn’t help but smile. “I appreciate your kind offer. After


    I’m discharged, I’lle home for a while. It’ll give everyone some peace of mind.”


    Imogen gritted her teeth in frustration. She had never expected Regina to actua


    Francis was also surprised by Regina’s decision. He had been prepared to arran few people to stay


    with her at her current ce, not expecting her to nod her hea eptance.


    “Regina, you’re really growing up. Having you at home, where we can all take care will set our minds at


    ease.”


    Regina smiled and nodded. “Dad, I know everyone cares about me. You all have your lives to lead, and


    I wouldn’t want you to worry. It’s better for me to be at home, althoug I’m not sure if Imogen would


    agree.”


    Imogen forced a smile, “Why wouldn’t I wee you? I was the one who suggested to your father that


    we bring you home. Don’t you believe me? Just ask your dad.”


    Francis nodded to confirm her im. “It’s true, Imogen has always been very about you.” concerne


    Regina inwardly smirked at the irony. Yes, Imogen was always “concerned” about her, often in ways


    that felt more like setting traps than genuine care.


    The conversation continued with Regina sitting in silence, as if the other three were real family.


    “Did you go for a check-up at the hospital yesterday? You said you weren’t feeling well, right?” Francis


    suddenly asked, recalling their previous exchange.

    Francis with pure joy.
