Chapter 2792
Watching Regina’s pleading gaze, Nn finally caved in with a nod. “You’re impossible to say no to.
But I’ve got one condition: if things get dangerous, you pull out. No heroics.”
Regina hadn’t expected to actually persuade him. She was so ecstatic she nearly jumped for joy,
trotting over to Nn with a beaming smile. “Don’t worry, I’m notpletely clueless. Mr. Harris. I can’t
believe you agreed. I’m so happy! Thank you!”
“Ah, well, you kept harping on about how ‘championing justice’ was your motivation as a journalist. How
could I let you lose faith after a speech like that?”

Despite his words, a faint smile yed on Nn’s lips at Regina’s happiness.
“By the way,” Regina said, suddenly serious, “I’ve been tracking Domingo’s whereabouts, and there’s a
good chance he’ll show up at a nightclub tomorrow. I’m not sure if the owner is one of his people, but I
haven’t been able to pin him down yet. Should we check it out?”
Her eyes sparkled with determination, and Nn was somewhat surprised she’d managed to dig up so
much on her own. “Who’s the nightclub owned by? I’ve got a list of his possible associates from my
team – it might be on there.”
“It’s owned by a guy named Patton.
“Hmm, you’re right. He’s one of Domingo’s guys. You’ve got some real chops, Regina, hitting one of his
hideouts right off the bat.”
Nn pulled up the nightclub’s profile on hisputer, raising an eyebrow in surprise. The city was
riddled with such establishments – hybrids of karaoke bars, pool halls, and arcades catering to
everyone from high schoolers to middle-aged patrons. No wonder Domingo hadn’t bothered with real
estate; he was already raking it in. And that was without considering his shadier dealings.
“I remember hearing they let juveniles in there. Aren’t they supposed to be off-limits?” Regina frowned,
concerned. Juveniles weren’t supposed to be in ces like that, cking. the self-control and protection
needed.
“Clearly, Domingo’s not going to let a little thing like legality get in the way of his profits. He wouldn’t
care about ethics if he had money to crave for. Since you’ve got the lead that he’ll be there tomorrow,
let’s go have a little chat with him.”
Regina nodded vigorously. “But you can’t show up in a suit and tie tomorrow, or we’ll be made
immediately.”
“What should I wear then?” Nn was at a loss. His wardrobe consisted mainly of tailored suits and the
asional tracksuit for the gym.
“You’re not telling me your closet is all suits, are you?” Regina looked at him in disbelief.
She was leaning close to Nn’sputer screen, their faces just inches apart. She could see his
eyebrows arch as if to say, ‘What’s wrong with that?’
After a moment’s thought, she made a decision. “No, Mr. Harris, consider this a day off for you. I’m
taking you shopping for some new threads for tomorrow.”
“Hey! How generous!” Nn joked.
Regina spread her hands in mock surrender. “What can I do? You can’t catch a wolf without setting a
trap, and this was my idea, after all.”
He stood up, towering over Regina. She instinctively stepped back but bumped into the desk, trapping
her between it and Nn. He couldn’t resist ruffling her hair-it felt as soft and yful as he had
imagined, like petting a small animal.
“Don’t worry about the expense, Ms. Tanner. Your wallet can take the day off too. Let’s call it an early
day and get some rest.”
Shopping for Nn turned out to be quicker than Regina had anticipated. Her keen eye and his model-
like figure meant that everything she picked out looked even better on him than on the mannequins.
Caught up in the moment, Regina ended up selecting several more outfits for him, each one
entuating his features perfectly.
