    Chapter 2279

Ivy shook her head with a chuckle, “I felt so much better when I woke up. The only reason I’m still in the

hospital is that the doc insisted on some R&R. Honestly, I reckon I’d heal up just as well at home, but

they won’t discharge me, so here I am. I’m in tip-top shape now. You guys don’t need to worry one bit.”

Margot finally nodded, satisfied. “You have no idea how worried I was when you had that ident. How

could something like that happen when two lifeguards were on duty? It was not until Thalia sensed

something off that we realized there was a whole chain of mishaps. I wanted to check on you sooner,

but I thought you might still be recovering, so I held off. Don’t be sad I didn’te by till today, okay?”

She patted Ivy’s hand in aforting gesture.

Thalia was not quite as bubbly. She was not close to Ivy; after all, she was just a runner on the set.

When Margot dragged her along, she did not really want to agree. She did not know Ivy well and had

not interacted with her. But considering she owed Mr. Balfour thanks for getting out of a tight spot, she

    decided to make the visit.

“I’m not sad at all. I’ve been doing nothing but eating and sleeping these past few days. I’m practically

turning into a pig. I haven’t had the time to think about anything else. I’ve been feeling drowsy often,

maybe from losing some vitalityst time. Anyway, how’s the production doing? Has Colton started

    shooting again?”

Margot sighed at the mention of the film. “You don’t know the half of it. The production has taken a

huge hit. The cast and the director have been dragged through the mud online.”

Ivy was puzzled. “Why? Wasn’t it Diana who caused all the trouble before? We have solid evidence this

time. If we make it public, people will see the truth for themselves, won’t they? Why would we get such

    ashing?”

Thalia exined, “It’s not as simple as you think. The production has been in the hot seat time and

again. Even with a rification now, people are sick of it. They think it’s just the production and actors

cooking up drama for publicity. The audience is fed up with our film, and another incident might

backfire. Even Colton is wary of saying too much.”

Ivy frowned, her eyebrows knitting together. She thought the storm had passed for the production, but it

    seemed the situation had worsened.

“So, we’re just going to let them misunderstand us? We’re not at fault. Why avoid rifying things just

because we’re worried about a bacsh?”

Seeing her agitation, Margot quickly reassured her. “Don’t get worked up. It’s not that we’re not going to

rify things. The director and team are figuring out the best timing for it. It’s not like it’s our fault

anyway. We’ve been wrongly used of bullying, and now that Diana has been exposed as the real

culprit, we’re not just going to swallow our pride!”

Ivy rxed a little at her words. “As long as they’re not giving up on setting the record straight. I was

worried the director might just let it slide.”

Margot and Thalia exchanged nces. Ivy did not seem like she wanted to leave the production, so

why were there rumors of her dropping out of her role as Valor?

Margot, who could never keep things to herself, was worried Ivy might actually leave the production for

good, so she blurted out, “Have you heard that the production is looking to rece the lead? Are you

    noting back?”
