    “Spouting nonsense? Sis, did you forget what you did justst night?” Ivy challenged as she


    brandished a USB drive like a smoking gun. “It’s okay if you’ve forgotten; I’ve got the evidence! Dare to


    let everyone have a look?”


    This was the first time in years that Ivy stood up to her sister ra with such fiery defiance, and it


    caught ra off-guard, her face a


    mask of shock.


    Perhaps it was the knowledge that she had a ce to go for the next year that emboldened Ivy,


    lessening her fear of being kicked out of her family household.


    ra’splexion paled at the mention of evidence, her tone softening a notch. “Ivy, you’ve already


    made a mistake; don’tpound it! i’m sure if you just apologize, our mom and dad will forgive you!”

    Ivy turned to Finn, their father. “Dad, I’m your daughter too. Won’t you even give me a chance to prove

    It was the first time in years that Finn truly looked at his youngest daughter, and she seemed different

    “Alright, I’ll give you a chance. Show us this evidence of yours!” Finn dered.


    As Finn asked to see Ivy’s evidence, ra quickly reached out to grasp his arm. “Dad, why look at it?


    Ivy’s definitely lying, you shouldn’t…”


    “Enough,” Finn interjected. He wasn’t particrly fond of Ivy and did have a soft spot for ra. But this


    time, he wasn’t swayed. “ra, if she’s lying, she won’t fool me. Let’s see the evidence she ims to


    have.”


    With Finn’s word as the final say, ra had no choice but to re venomously at lvy, silently praying


    that her sister was just bluffing.


    The family of four sat down in the living room. Ivy connected the USB to theptop and opened the first


    video. “This is the surveince footage fromst night. Sis said she was heartbroken and asked me to


    join her at the bar. Once there, she kept pushing drinks on me. Mom, Dad, see for yourselves if I’m


    telling the truth!”


    ra was stunned; she hadn’t expected Ivy to get hold of the bar’s surveince footage!


    However, she quickly regained herposure, putting on a pitiful act. “Dad, Mom, I didn’t deceive Ivy. I


    was genuinely upsetst night! You know, I had a crush on a celebrity, but he recently went public with


    a girlfriend, and I was heartbroken. I just wanted my little sister to keep mepany.”


    “Yes, ra told us all about her crush on that actor What was his name?” Tessa, their mother, chimed


    in, eager to curry favor with Finn on ra’s behalf. “ra was hurt, Ivy. What’s wrong with spending

    Watching her own motherfort ra, Ivy felt both pain and irony. She had always envied ra’s

    “If she just wanted me to drink with her, I wouldn’t have minded. But ra plotted against me, sending


    me to another man’s bed to exchange favors for her, and then smeared my name, iming I was
