    Ellinor, who held high regard for Collin’spetence and character, chose to steer the conversation in


    a different direction. “What about him? Why hasn’t hee?”


    Collin responded truthfully, “Mr. nchet is on his way. He should arrive shortly.”


    Ellinor pouted. “He’s always like this! Yesterday, he said he’d go grab us some food and be right back,


    but we ended up with delivery instead!”


    Collin chuckled at her remark. “Ellinor, you’re being a bit harsh on Mr. nchet! He didn’t want to worry


    you, so he didn’t disclose everything. Yesterday, our team apprehended Patricia, the mastermind


    behind Baber’s kidnapping. Mr. nchet wanted to ensure she confessedpletely, so he personally


    oversaw the police interrogation. He’s also taking care of Sophia, making sure neither will be able to


    stir up trouble again.”


    Upon hearing that Patricia was captured, Ellinor felt a wave of relief. She had suspected Patricia was


    the one spreading rumors in Baber’s kindergarten. The woman was so vile; she even targeted the child


    she once adopted. It was sickening.


    While cradling Baber, Ellinor headed towards the room, “Your Mr. nchet, he’s a real heart breaker.


    He attracts too much attention from women, which causes a lot of trouble! Don’t you dare follow in his


    footsteps!”


    Collin barely managed to hold back augh. Ellinor was as blunt as always, hitting the nail on the head.


    Not long after returning to the room, a nurse came in to examine Baber. She dressed his wounds, drew


    some blood, and left, promising to return with the results.


    If everything was okay, she could take Baber home soon.


    While waiting for the results, the door opened abruptly. Ellinor looked up, expecting the nurse with


    Baber’s results, but instead, it was Theo.


    The sight of the incessant man made her roll her eyes and slump back into her seat.


    Noticing herck of enthusiasm, Theo raised an eyebrow. “What? Not happy to see me?”


    Ellinor replied, “I thought you were the nurse with Baber’s results.”


    “Baba!” Baber called out joyfully, stretching his arms for a hug as he saw his father.,


    Theo walked over, lifting his son into his arms. “Good boy, did you listen to Mommy while I was away?”


    Baber replied, “Baber is very good, but Daddy, don’t leave for so long next time. Mommy misses you.”


    Upon hearing her son’s betrayal, Ellinor blushed, her gaze shifting uneasily, “Ahem, ahem.”


    Theo, however, seemed amused. “Oh? Is that so? How much did Mommy miss me?”


    His gaze settled intently on Ellinor’s face.


    Baber, ever the honest child, replied, “Very, very much! Mommy missed you a lot! She kept checking


    the time and wondering why Daddy wasn’t back yet!”
