    When Adrian pushed the door open, he saw a tall figure on the balcony, struggling to practice walking


    and sweating profusely.


    His leg seemed to have severe muscle atrophy. The likelihood of him being able to stand and walk on


    his own again seemed low.


    But he seemed determined to not give up.

    Ellinor didn’t engage further, leaning against the balcony rail and watching him until Adrian came


    running with a bottle of water.


    “Handsome Dad, here’s your water!” Adrian held the bottle high and handed it to him.


    Marcus looked at his son’s adorable face. He looked eager to help. But he needed both hands to


    support his body; if he let go of one, he wouldn’t be able to hold himself up.


    As Marcus hesitated, Ellinor suddenly walked over, taking the bottle from Adrian, unscrewing the cap,


    and holding it to Marcus’ lips.


    Marcus paused, looking at her in surprise.


    Ellinor looked annoyed. “Not drinking? How long do you expect me to hold this for you?”
