Chapter 743
Ida shot him a cold look, “Ellinor’s the one moasting you, don’t drag me into this.”
Ellinor was done arguing with them. She checked her watch and saw that there was an hour left before
clocking out. She’d just make it to the nchet Corporation by quitting time if she took a cab.
She put down her coffee and got up from her office chair, “You guys, carry on with your stuff, I’m
heading out.”
Chase asked, “Where are you off to. Ellinor? Aren’t you eating with us?”
Tm going to pick up Theo from the nchet Corporation.” Without turning her head, Ellinor waved her
hand and walked out of the CEO’s office
Chase shook his head helplessly as he watched the door close, “Ah… that lovey-dovey atmosphere!”
Aftering back to her senses, Ida shot him a disgusted look, “Alright, go back to your office and be
jealous there!”
The coffee shop across the nchet Corporation building.
Ellinor picked a window seat and ordered a coffee.
She had a clear view of the entrance to the nchet Corporation, so she could see Theo as soon as
he stepped out.
She hadn’t told Theo she wasing because she wanted to surprise him and see how he’d react to
her picking him up from work.
How would the straightced, serious Theo react when he saw her? She found the thought amusing.

As Ellinor thought about it, a hint of an anticipatory smile appeared on her face.
Suddenly, someone tapped her shoulder from behind.
Who was it?
Ellinor turned around cautiously, only to find a familiar face.
Belinda Wesley copsed into the seat across from her, panting heavily. She snatched the coffee from
Ellinor’s hand and gulped it down before saying, “Damn, Ellinor, I’m beat! Chasing after you is no joke!”
Ellinor raised an eyebrow at her, “Chase me? From where?”
Belinda caught her breath, “I’ve been following you from the Crescent Society. My car broke down on
the way, and I couldn’t get a cab, so I ran.”
Ellinor squinted at Belinda, who was all sweaty. She called over a waiter, “Another ss of ice water,
please.”
“Sure, just a moment.”
When the waiter brought the water, Ellinor looked at Belinda with a steady gaze, “So your car broke
down, you couldn’t get a cab, and I took a taxi. You should’ve lost me by then. How’d you find me?”
“Well… I…” Belinda looked guilty. She sipped the ice water to ease her embarrassment.
Ellinor eyed her sharply. “You weren’t trying to catch up with me, you were tailing me.”
Belinda couldn’te up with a good excuse. She blurted out the truth, “Alright! I admit, at first I was
trying to tail you. I lost track of you when my car broke down, but then I realized I was near the
nchet Corporation. So, I went there to find Theo, but instead, I found you in this coffee shop.”
