Chapter 978: CHAPTER 947 BECOMING A MERCENARY

    Entering the store, the two kids look so uninterested, little fatty have always been going around the city visiting the stores that he could find amusing, meanwhile, the former owner of Shadowsh’s current body is known to be a person that likes to spend his father’s money.


    “Wow look at that awesome piece of armor, it would certainly look amazing at you.” Little fatty saw a golden armor that shines so brightly.


    Shadowsh wasn’t interested on it, with his experience on crafting, he could craft better armors and weapons than this store could sell.


    “Hey Adam, where are you going?” Suddenly little fatty was startled to see his friend walking towards a certain isle.


    Shadowsh grabs the mask that exudes an eerie vibe, the clerk was about to introduce the mask but when he saw the Thunderstorm badge on his chest, his expression changes.

    He quickly warns “Young master let go of that mask! It is cursed!”


    Shadowsh already discovered that it was cursed, what confuses him is why would someone still sell such a thing in this luxurious store.


    “If it’s curse, why is it still showcased on your shop? Are you trying to dupe people?” Hearing this, the clerk started sweating profusely.


    He just cannot say that the shopkeeper had obtained it from an underground market and was trying to sell it by faking it’s description.


    Magic items are filled with Mana and this mask is full of it, unfortunately, it is cursed, during the time when they were testing it, thrre people have already died.


    Since it is filled with Mana, the shop is trying to sell it by introducing it as a magic items that would grant strength.


    But Shadowsh’s current identity is too great for the shop to try and dupe him, they knew that if they did, they would certainly die from the Thunder Family.


    Shadowsh snorted and acted like a spoiled young master “It seems that you wanted to trick me from not buying this magic item, I’m gonna take it and give it to my dad to appraise it.”


    The expression of the clerk turned ashen, he could only watch as Shadowsh forcefully took it without even paying and left together with the little fatty.


    Little fatty looks at the mask his friend was holding and asks “Do you really think that it is cursed.”


    Shadowsh answered in a “it is a fact” manner “Yes, this item is cursed, do not worry, it wouldn’t affect you.”


    The expression of fatty became afraid, he started distancing himself from his friend while looking at the mask with fear.


    Shadowsh shook his head, he then asks “Fatty I’m going to go the Mercenary Guild to sign up as a mercenary, do you daree with me?”


    Little fatty was stunned, he then looks at his friend with confusion written on his face but he still patted his fat chest and confidently say “Of course I would, I am no coward.”


    And yet his expression earlier when he looks at the mask shows what he truly is, Shadowsh doesn’t care but he does seek some sort of rtionship with some people of this world.


    Since this fatty treats him as a friend then he’ll treat him as his buddy, the two children went to the clothing store and bought some clothes that looks like mercenary clothing but has se sort of magical trait.


    Little fatty looks at his friend and asks “Why did you pick the dress that belongs to a thief? It isn’t fitting in your image.”


    Shadowsh rolled his eyes and said “You boughtrge clothes that shouldn’t belong to a person your age and a pdin at that, you don’t even dare to go to the outskirt of Evergreen Forest.”


    Pdins are the symbol of righteousness and braveness, such upation isn’t fit for little fatty.


    “Hey little fatty, do you have any weapons for your outfit?” Hearing this, little fatty became confused, aren’t they just gonna sign up, what reason do they need to have weapons for.


    But he still bought a shield and a sword, the shield is a round shield because he cannot lift anyrge one, Shadowsh took the mask and wore it.


    “Hey Adam, Does this sword make me look awes- What the hell are you doing?!” He screams in a loud and shocked voice as he saw his friend wore the cursed mask.


    Shadowsh was absorbed into a total darkness, there he saw numerous souls that belongs to the past owners of the mask, suddenly, a creepyughter could be heard.


    “This is the first time I have obtained such a young soul, today might be my lucky day.”


    Shadowsh looks at the direction of the sound and saw a huge shadowy figureughing at him.


    He also startedughing, this realm is inside his soul, that meant that nothing is stopping him.


    His tiny body turns gigantic as he transform into the exact form of his battle phase, theughter of the shadowy figure got cut off, it sensed an impending dook descending on it.


    “No, this isn’t possible, how can this be possible?! No! No! Nooooo!” His scream became quieter as Shadowsh started devouring the souls present inside the mask.


    The golden glittering mask became ck, Shadowsh’s entire aura also became weaker, it’s as if he isn’t there, little fatty was stunned, he waves his hand and saw that his friend wasn’t moving.


    He started trembling in fear, he approaches the body and tried poking it, the body moves and grabs his shoulder as Shadowsh screams in a shrieking demonic voice “I am going to devour you!”


    “Ahhh!” Like a little girl, little fatty screams as he wets his pants, Shadowsh who was just trying to scare his friend a little was stunned.


    “Little fatty? Little fatty wake up! I am just teasing you.” Unfortunately, no matter how much he shakes his friend, he was passed out cold.


    Shadowsh could only shook his head and felt that his friend was too cowardly but he didn’t know that this reaction is normal to children in this world since cursed objects are things that almost everyone on this world fears.


    Little fatty woke up in a groggy state, when he saw Shadowsh, he jumps with energy to spare and started stepping backwards in fear.


    Shadowsh shook his head and exins “Fatty don’t be afraid, I was only joking at that time.”


    Little fatty was hesitant, he still approaches his friend with his shield raised high, his trembling feet indicates just how scared he is.


    Shadowsh quickly dashes on him and grabs his shield before putting him in a headlock and said “I am going to eat your flesh.”


    Little fatty screams so hard that Shadowsh was forced to block his mouth “D*mn it fatty your loud, stop shouting you are embarrassing yourself in front of our new teammate.”


    Little fatty finally stops screaming, he looks at Shadowsh with tears on his eyes, clearly feeling indignant from being pranked so hard.


    He then looks at the girl that his friend brought, the girl was extremely thin as if she was malnourished.


    She was the little girl that Shadowsh had encountered during his first time on this world, he brought her out leaving the two children behind.


    He told her that he would be training her to master the art of magic which shocked her thoroughly, after all, magic in this world is quite renowned.


    Actually, the first time she encountered Shadowsh, she doesn’t believe him, after all, his past appearance and his appearance today is just too different.


    He doesn’t care about what she thought and brought the two kids to the Mercenary Guild, their presence immediately attracted the eyes of the mercenaries, one fat, one thin and the other seemingly nonexistent.


    Shadowsh approaches the counter and said “Me and my group are signing up as mercenaries.”


    Hearing this the clerk was stunned, then the other mercenaries startedughing their ass off, they cannot believe what they just heard.


    There are often times that children wanted to join up as a mercenary but they had to have an adult in their group, this is the first time they have seen a group that onlyposed of children.


    One boorish mercenary with scars all over his body even approached them and jeered “You three idiots should just return back to your mother’s bossom and drink some milk, this ce isn’t fit for your group.”


    The two were afraid, only Shadowsh was bored, he looks at the clerk and once again said “I repeat, my group want to sign up as mercenaries.”


    The clerk smiles awkwardly “I am sorry young one but you need an adult supervision to be able to sign up as mercenaries.”
