    snapping at people.”


    Emma’s cheeks flushed with anger.


    Inside the studio, Sadie seemed to be putting on a one-woman show. Meanwhile, the other focal point


    of this conflict was sitting in a lounge chair, engrossed in her phone. Allison rubbed her temples, stood


    up, and cast a cool, detached look at Sadie. She approached one step at a time. “If you still want a job
