    Wilton was standing by the door. He asked, “How long had Daisy been in there?”


    John replied, “One hour and eight minutes.”


    Wilton went on, “What was she doing inside?”


    “She just watched a movie with Frances and had a little chat.” John had observed Daisy for a while and


    thought she was not bad. She seemed to care for Frances enough, and every time she visited,


    Frances’ mood seemed to improve.


    “Wilton,” John tried to say. “Maybe we got it wrong. Ms. Daisy isn’t Mina’s pawn. She seems okay to


    Frances.”
