    She busted her chops trying to cure Grace’s illness. To make Grace happy, she was always on her best


    behavior since she was a kid. Even if she sometimes felt that her mother was overprotective of


    Penelope, she just chalked it up to Penelope being the nagan family’s daughter and her mom just


    being polite.


    She hit the books hard, trying to avoid any conflicts with Penelope. In the nagan family, she bent

    Allison closed her eyes tightly. “Patty, I’m having a hard time breathing.”
