    Penelope’s phone gave off a faint buzz from within her bag. She nced down and saw a text from

    Pete, asking her to call him back. She looked up at the man sitting across from her at the dining table.


    “Lucian, I’m going to use the restroom.”


    She stood up. And since she was 8 months pregnant, she couldn’t move very well, she had to walk out


    of the booth slowly, while holding on to her back, then took out her cell phone and went into the


    restroom


    What’s up, Pete? I’m having dinner with Lucian, Penelope sounded a bit peeved.


    Even though she and Pete had history and the baby she was carrying was his, she was set to be

    “Great, I’ve already arranged for someone to cover up your prenatal check up today. No one will find

    Penelope hung up, touched up her makeup in the mirror, and then left the restroom. As soon as she


    stepped out, she saw Nichs heading her way. She couldn’t help but frown at his handsome


    appearance and extraordinary demeanor. He looked a lot like Grace’s son, but their demeanors were


    worlds apart. She had often given Ricky a hard time back in the nagan family, and was taken aback


    at the sight of someone so simr.


    But Ricky was dead. She couldn’t possibly link this man of such stature and demeanor to Grace’s son


    who had been dead for many years.


    This Allison was just a help in their house, yet Lucian seemed to have a thing for her, as did Jason And


    yet, this man standing before her, who didn’t seem to be short of a bob or two, was also with Allison.

    Nichs was just about to enter the restroom when he heard a woman’s voice behind him. The voice

    need to beat around the bush.”


    “Well, you seem to know my france, and I just thought Id give you a friendly heads up. This Allison,


    she’s not as innocent as she seems”
