Chapter 351
Allison sauntered at a snail’s pace, and Nichs effortlessly caught up with her with a gentle tap on the
gas. He honked his horn, “Hey, remember that question you asked me? I asked my mom about it. Don’t
you want to know the answer? The one about birthmarks”
Allison stopped in her tracks and got into the car. However, instead of the passenger seat, she chose to
sit in the back.
Nichs nced at her through the rear-view mirror and started the car, “You work nights, so you
should be sleeping during the day right?”
Allison nced at the car’s clock, “I got off work earlyst night and woke up early today Nichs,
don’t tell me you want to chat about night shifts and day shifts? What a snooze fest.”
Nichs stepped on the gas, and Allison, who hadn’t fastened her seat belt yet, lurched forward, her
forehead bumping against the soft leather of the seat in front of her. She rubbed her forehead,
muttering, “So immature.”
Nichs chuckled, Where to?”
Allison didn’t really know where to go. She had left the house early. Usually, she would be at home at
this time, either cleaning or hanging out with Daisy. But Daisy was currently tangled up with the Boswell
family and wasn’t in the mood for a shopping spree As for Allison, she felt like she had a knot in her
chest, and she couldn’t loosen it or vent it. She spoke lightly. “Just drop me off at the next intersection”
Nichs raised an eyebrow, sensing that Allison wasn’t in a great mood, “Feeling blue?”
Allison didn’t respond
He nced at her through the rear-view mirror She was stunning, her gaze fixed outside the window
seemingly deep in thought. Ever since he met Allison, he found her oddly familiar. He admitted that her
beauty was captivating, radiant yet pure, bound to catch any man’s attention. But it wasn’t enough to
haunt his dreams.
Nichs had dreamt of Allison’s face several times. It felt strangely familiar. He didn’t reject Allison’s
proximity Instead, the brief time they spent together actually improved his mood.
Was he falling for this little waitress? Nichs shook his head and chuckled, “No way.” His heart didn’t

race when he saw her, but he enjoyed herpany. It was a simple andfortable feeling.
The car stopped.
Allison got out of the car and looked around. They were in Ster Emporium’s underground parking lot,
“Why did you bring me here?”
Nichs got out of the car, “Movies, wanna go?”
“Now?” Allison checked the time, 10:20 in the morning.
Nichs nodded, “We can have lunch after the movie. What do you say, Ms. Zimmer?”
Allison looked at Nichs’ familiar face, fell silent for a few seconds, but didn’t refuse.
Inside the cinema.
Allison bit her lip, somewhat surprised, “A horror film at half past ten in the morning? Nichs, you’ve
got an interesting taste.” Nichs had no choice. He didn’t particrly like horror films, but this was the
only one with avable seats. The other two films were sold out, and if they waited, they would have to
wait for more than an hour.
It was a suspense horror film. Typically, these films were poorly made, with terrible acting and even
worse plotlines, forcefully incorporating horror and science elements in the end
Surprisingly, this film wasn’t half bad. Allison noticed that the film was co-directed by Gavin. She had
seen films and TV shows directed by Gavin. His strength was his shooting technique and control over
the plot. He was good at digging into every character’s details and characteristics.
There were indeed a few familiar elements in the movie.
Walking out of the cinema, Nichs looked a bit pale, while Allison felt it was okay. Although there
were a few extremely exaggerated horror scenes with special effects and background music, the plot
was tightly paced with clear logic and progressive reasoning. Allison rated the film a seven out of ten.
She teased, “No way, Nichs, don’t tell me you’re scared”
