    Allison stood behind Sarah She’d always thought Sarah was always ying by the book. But she never


    imagined that Sarah would go to bat for her this time.

    Sarah turned her head nced at her, then shook her head


    Allison held her tongue


    Darlene was hell bent on stiming the pot today. Serena quickly arrived, and upon seeing Darlene, her


    face took on a sycophantic expression: “Ms. Bray”


    Darlene’s mom often hung out here ying cards, and Serena was a pro at sucking up and pretty


    familiar with a few of the wealthydies.


    Darlene, high and mighty, pointed at Sarah and said, “You work with this manager, right? Give us some


    justice. That waitress tried to seduce my boyfriend, and I caught her red handed. I want her to


    apologize to me. That’s not too much to ask, right?”


    Serena had been looking for a bone to pick with Saral; and immediately chimed in, “Definitely not too


    much. Allison, when you’ve messed up, you should apologize. An apology to Ms Bray is the least

    “When did it be your ce to discipline my staff? Sarah’s face took on a serious look, giving


    Serena no face.


    Serena wasn’t pissed off, she chuckled and said, “Sarah, you’ve really changed. You can’t even


    manage your own staff. If you’re too swamped, I can lend a hand“”


    Sarah looked at Serena and said, “I don’t need you to lift a finger”


    Suddenly, the door to the private room was pushed open from outside. Lucian walked in, with James


    following behind.


    The man scanned the room with a detached look, his gaze eventuallynding on Allison’s red and


    swollen face.


    Lucian murmured, “What happened?”


    Serena look a good look at the man and felt a strong sense of pressure that made it impossible for her


    to keep her fake smile. This guy must be someone special.


    She gathered her thoughts, then said, “Sorry to bother you This waitress tried to seduce Mr. Kelvin,


    and Ms. Bray caught her. Ms. Bray asked her to apologize


    Darlene looked at Lucian and said, “Mr Lindbergh, you may not be aware of how scandalous this


    woman’s behavior is! A shameless waitress trying to seduce Mr. Kelvin! She made a move on him,


    even though I was present. If I hadn’t been there, I imagine they would have gone even further.”


    Allison suddenly felt her throat hurt Every breath she took was painful. She just wanted to get the hell


    out of this room.


    Lucian’s gaze felt like a mountain pressing on her chest. She lowered her head and bit her lip.


    Today was Kelvin’s 27th birthday. He was in a good mood, but the way things turned out really pissed


    him off.


    He looked at Darlene and said, “I already told you, it was an ident. The waitress identally spilled


    wine on me. Why are you making such a big fuss? Okay, let’s just leave it at that”


    Darlene suddenly shouted, “I’m making a big fuss? Kelvin, I think you’ve fallen for this woman! No


    wonder you were making googly eyes at her. What do you mean by ‘an ident? I saw her rush


    towards you! Kelvin, I’m breaking up with you!”


    Kelvin didn’t expect Darlene to be so unreasonable. She was hell–bent on blowing this out of


    proportion. Today was his birthday, but now he couldn’t save face at all. “Break up then! Do you really


    think I’m that into you?”


    Darlene’s eyes bulged. She was so angry that her chest was heaving. She never thought Kelvin would


    actually break up with her. They’d been together for over a year; both families were familiar with each


    other, and they were even nning to get engaged. Today, he was breaking up with her over a


    shameless waitress.


    In a fit of rage, she stormed over to Allison, grabbed her hair, and kicked her leg hard with her high


    heels. Allison’s face turned pale from the pain.


    “You little tramp! How dare you seduce my man!” Darlene raised her hand, ready to give her a good


    beating, but her hand never reached Allison’s face.


    A strong hand grabbed her wrist, and the man’s voice was low, “Enough!”


    A chill ran down Darlene’s spine. She looked at Lucian and said, “Mr. Lindbergh.”


    “Ah.” Darlene felt like her wrist was about to be crushed She looked up to see Lucian’s icy gaze.


    The man let go of her hand, watched Allison sit on the floor in a state of disarray, then looked around


    the room.


    Although they were all the same age, Kelvin and the others felt a chill down their spines. Kelvin said,


    “You guys can leave now”


    After Sarah, Allison, and Serena had left, Kelvin then said, “I apologize, Luca. Let’s forget about what


    just happened and y some cards.”


    As the birthday guy, when Kelvin said this, the other socialites and heirs had no choice but to join in


    with a smile.

    Darlene frowned, picked up her handbag, and left without a word.


    Kelvin watched Darlene leave and shook his head


    Natalie rolled her eyes. She originally just wanted to use Darlene to teach Allison a lesson, but she
