    Penelope was already out of the hospital before Lucian came back.

    A ck sedan pulled up at the nagan family’s front door. As Penelope descended the stairs, Leah


    hugged her tightly, “Let me look at you. You’re okay, thank god. You had me worried sick.”


    “Mum, I promise I won’t mess around anymore.”


    Nearby, Christopher called Penelope into the study and sternly said, “Enough of this. Best to keep your


    temper in check around the Lindbergs. Allison helped you out this time, and you should thank her
