    “Ahh- Kami suddenly let out a yelp.


    Allison bit her lip, desperately trying to steady the soup bowl. Most of the hot soup sshed onto her


    own wrist.


    She couldn’t help but gasp.


    Margo immediately jumped in, yelling at Allison, “Allison! What good are you? What if you burned Miss


    Kami? Can you afford that?!”


    Then, Kami said, “I’m okay.”


    She wasn’t burned much, just a bit of soup on her clothes Her scream was more of a reflex.

    Lucian said softly. “About the engagement details, I’ll have someone discuss it with you.”


    With that, he calmed her inner unease. She knew she couldn’t cling to him now, so she smiled at him


    warmly, “Please be careful on the road. I’m sorry, Kami, for the incident happening on your first visit


    to my house.”

    Once they were in the car, Kami couldn’t help but ask, “Lucian, you’re not really going to marry


    Penelope, are you?”
