    Agnes pressed herself against the wall of the hospital corridor, her heart pounding like a jackhammer.

    She had overheard everything Alyssa and Ryder had said.

    had rejected him countless times, even thought about hurting him to make him stop, but nothing

    "He woke up once before, but went back to sleep a whileter," Alyssa said.

    age? If I could, I''d take his ce in a heartbeat."
