Character portrait 1: Bright Eyes

    Below is my first real piece of art for this series. As I continue, I''ll be making portraits of characters whenever the mood strikes me. I plan to post these independent of chapters, but I might occasionally go back and add portraits to important scenes as they are  finished.


    Our first candidate is the as of yet unnamed creature that both Doc and Harper have had run-ins with the last few chapters. In case you didn''t get the chapter title hint, She''s a sloth girl! I''m trying to keep her cute while going full alien in appearance, and avoiding a furry look as much as possible. I am not unhappy with the result.

    If you''re wondering why I didn''t go with the obvious candidates, I will! But right now the brothers look too similar. I decided to let the weird traits accumulate a bit before tackling them. After that, I expect I''ll update the portraits as people change.


    Also, it''s not a high priority, but once I have my look for the brothers nailed down, I really want to go back and work on a mock-up of the creatures from the facility. I could have some real fun with the bug man or the eyeballs.
