Chapter 246
Izabe pulled Brett up to his feet, and at that moment, an image shed through her mind.
In the heavy rain, someone knelt on the ground; who was the one kneeling?
"Be, what are you thinking about?"
Brett was a bit freaked out by Izabe''s dazed expression, and he held her shoulders tightly, trying
to shake her awake, afraid she''d turn back into her lost state from the hospital.
Izabe regained her senses, but instinctively broke free from Brett''s grasp and took a step back.
Her action was heartbreaking. Izabe breathed irregrly, her face was pale as she looked up at
Brett, her eyes full of fear.
"Be, what''s wrong?" Brett was at a loss because of Izabe''s frightened face.
"Nothing. I just had some images sh through my mind."
At this, Brett suddenly became tense, "Did you remember anything?"
Izabe shook her head, "No, the images are very blurry. I just vaguely remembered seeing
someone kneeling on the ground in the heavy rain. Is that my memory? Who is the one kneeling in
the rain?" Izabe looked confusedly into Brett''s deep eyes, trying to find the answers.
Looking into her bright eyes, Brett didn''t dare to make eye contact, but he knew he couldn''t avoid it
at this time.
Izabe struggled to ask, "Was I the one kneeling in the rain?"
"No!" After a brief moment of hesitation, Brett regained his calm. His palms sweated, and a thin
layer of sweat broke out on his back. The wounds seemed to hurt again.
"It''s not you. The reason you feel familiar with it might be because it''s from a movie you''ve seen
before, or somewhere you''ve seen the image that remained in your mind." Brett forced his emotions
to stabilize, but his heart was still too nervous to be calm.
So he did get flustered too, just because Izabe remembered something.
Not daring to kneel again, Brett hurriedly picked up the remote control from the ground, clumsily
knocking the snacks off the table in the process.
Brett squatted down to clean up, but the more eager he was, the more his hands trembled, fearing
Izabe would remember everything in response to the slightest stimtion.
Izabe frowned as she watched Brett''s actions. She had been trying very hard not to think about it,
but the more she tried to control it, the more she couldn''t help it.
"Why do you look so flustered?"
Brett didn''t know how to exin, so he justughed shakily and made up an excuse in haste, "I
kneeled too long; my wound hurts a bit."

Izabe immediately shifted her attention, pulling Brett up and saying, "Don''t pick it up, we''ll have
Katie clean it upter. Sit down and roll up the pant legs; let me see the wound."
Brett''s leg injury only caused mild pain, and there was no broken skin or bleeding, so there was no
risk of infection.
When Izabe rolled up the pant leg, she saw the red swelling on his knee.
"Does it hurt a lot? Do you want me to call a doctor?" Izabe squatted down, frowning, and her
eyes and tone were full of concern.
Izabe from a long time ago also cared about him like this. All she cared about was him at that
time, but he lost that Izabe.
Now that he had found her again, he kept worrying about losing her again.
Suddenly, Brett held Izabe''s face with his hand, giving her a rough kiss. No one knew of his panic.
Over the month of Izabe''s amnesia, Brett realized that he couldn''t live without Izabe.
For Brett, Izabe was like the air. He once took her for granted, but when he lost her, he realized
that her departure would leave him breathless.
