Chapter 310,1
Chapter 310.1 Regret(1)
Originally, Sarah’s n was to frame Ignacio Forbes for raping her during an interview.
As the victim and seemingly the weaker party, most would believe her side of the story. When the
usationbeled Ignacio as a rapist, his words would no longer be credible, and he might even be
seen as having framed Sarah.
Troy mmed his fist against the wall, his face seething with rage. Through gritted teeth, he
demanded. “So why did she change her mind in the end?”
In the past, owing to the guilt of Sarah being kidnapped, out of residual affection for her, Troy always
gave her the benefit of the doubt.
He previously believed that Sarah’s actions were just minor maniptions.
Only now did he realize that beneath her facade, Sarah harbored a heart as dark and venomous as
a scorpion.
It was more than just maniptive. It was cruel and utterly inhumane!
Leo interjected, “Perhaps someone warned her.”
After being advised. Sarah altered her n.
As a somewhat renowned journalist, Ignacio had many connections in the industry and even some
familiar faces in the police department. Mere false usations might not significantly harm him, and he
could even turn the tables on her.
During her first time orchestrating such a scheme, Sarahforted herself with the thought that
nobody could stop her rise to the top!
Her n seeded. The kidnappers fled overseas. Ignacio died in a car ident, and no one linked
the ident with the kidnapping.
Everything was perfect.
Had Imogen not discovered that photograph, the truth behind these two incidents would never have
come to light.
Sarah had staged her own kidnapping and had informed Leo only after everything had transpired.
She hoped to use this tragic experience to divert any suspicions Troy might harbor against her. Leo
then ensured the individuals posing as kidnappers were sent overseas, even funding ke and his
group’svish lifestyles abroad.
However, it was the discrepancy in the amount of money that caught Leo’s attention. Upon discovering
an additional person, Victor, involved in a hit–and–run, he confronted Sarah.
Sarah confessed everything.
Only then did Leo realize that, in an attempt to erase any evidence of her staged ki napping, Sarah had
caused someone’s death.
At that moment, a mix of emotions overcame Leo, with shock and horror prevailing. He was horrified by
Sarah’s actions. While he knew she was ambitious, he hadn’t expected her to be so cold–blooded and
ruthless.
For a while, he worried incessantly that the police might discover the truth and that Sarah would betray
him. His fear wasn’t about going to prison but the disappointment he would see in Fienry’s eyes. Henry
always wanted the Marshall brothers to live harmoniously,

Fortunately, the matter seemed to disappear, and Leo slowly let go
of his concerns.
That was until he and Henry attended Ignacio’s funeral. Overwhelmed withplex emotions, he
proposed to Henry the idea of adopting Imogen.
Following these events, not only did Leo and Sarah not grow closer, but their rtionship became
increasingly distant.
Leo couldn’te to terms with the cold–hearted and malevolent nature of his partner. Putting it
bluntly, he was traumatized by Sarah.
Then he met Agnes.
Agnes was gentle and kind, pletely different from Sarah, and Leo fell for her at first sight.
From Leo’s words, Troy inferred something. “So, Sarah’s subsequent move abroad… Was it rted to
you?”
Leo nodded slightly. “Do you remember Agnes having a miscarriage before Wesie?”
Troy looked surprised for a moment. “Was that Sarah’s doing?”
