    Chapter 1099: Nowhere To Go

    Chapter 1099: Nowhere to Go

In the following days, Sandy and Brandon''s wedding photoshoot continued as scheduled. Over the

course of three or four days, Sandy didn''t run into Nelson at the photography studio. Although Jim

appeared unchanged from before, Sandy noticed that he seemed a bit off during his breaks. However,

as soon as the photoshoot started, Jim returned to his usual self.

Perhaps because of their friendly conversations, Sandy couldn''t help but think about Nelson.

After some hesitation, Sandy finally approached Jim one afternoon during a break while Brandon was

in the restroom. She handed him a bottle of water, "Why hasn''t Nelson been in touch for the past

    couple of days?"

Jim nced at Sandy and took the water from her, "Thanks."

After expressing his gratitude, Jim replied, "He has some matters to attend to."

Sandy could tell that Jim wasn''t eager to discuss the issue, so she didn''t press further.

Despite the rush order for the photos, Jim had offered a discount on the price. After the shoot, Sandy

and Brandon treated Jim to a meal. Sandy was exhausted after the two days of shooting and went

straight to bed after a shower and removing her makeup. She fell asleep even before Brandon came

    out of the bathroom.

The next morning, she woke up close to noon. "Brandon?" Sandy called out as she opened her eyes,

only to find Maya entering the room instead of her husband.

"Awake?" Maya greeted as she entered, "Brandon and your brother went out for something. The

engagement ceremony ising up soon, and there are many things to arrange."

    Sandy nodded in acknowledgment.

"By the way, freshen up. Nelson is downstairs; he said he needs to talk to you about something."

Upon hearing Maya''s words, Sandy blinked in surprise before nodding, "Okay, I''ll get up."

    "Take your time, no rush."

    "Alright."

Sandy quickly headed to the bathroom, where she freshened up and changed her clothes. She then

    followed Maya downstairs.

Nelson was sitting on the couch, engaged in conversation with Aunt Bruton. Whatever Nelson said

    made Aunt Brutonugh heartily.

Upon hearing footsteps, Aunt Bruton turned to Sandy, "Awake?"

    Sandy nodded, "Hello, Aunt."

"Grab a bite to eat. Your sister-inw saved you some food," Aunt Bruton said softly.

Sandy agreed with a nod, then nced at Nelson before heading to the dining area. "I''ll grab

something to eat, Nelson. We can chatter."

"No rush, take your time," Nelson replied.

Sandy ate a bit with Maya before joining Nelson, and the two of them left the house together. Once

outside the Hawkins family residence, Sandy turned to Nelson, "Are you... okay?"

Nelson smiled, "What could be wrong?"

Sandy continued to watch him, remaining silent.

    Nelson chuckled, "Brandon was right."

    "About what?"

"Brandon said you''re the most attentive person."

Sandy chuckled, "So, did you talk to your family?"

Nelson nodded, "Jim already knows. It wouldn''t be fair to keep it from him."

"But your positions are different. At least there''s one supporter in the Bart family. On your side..."

Sandy didn''t finish her sentence, but her implication was clear.

"Got a beating and knelt for two days," Nelson said with a grin.

Sandy looked at him, concerned. "Shouldn''t you find a ce to sit down?"

Nelsonughed, "I''m fine. I''ve rested, and I''ve been to the hospital."

"So you''ve been at home these past few days?"

    Nelson nodded.

    "And what''s the final result?"

    "No ce to go."

The meaning behind those words was quite evident. For the sake of Jim, Nelson had severed ties with

his family. From now on, he had no connection with the Penn family.

Sandy was about to offer words offort, but Nelson didn''t give her a chance. "Sis-inw, I''m fine. I

    foresaw this oue."

Changing the topic, Nelson looked at Sandy, "I came to you today because I need a favor."

"What is it? If I can help, I will."

Nelson grinned, "Don''t worry, it''s nothing illegal."

As he spoke, Nelson took out a card from his pocket and handed it to Sandy. "There''s over thirty million

    on there."

Sandy looked at the card he handed her, slightly puzzled, "Why are you giving me this?"

Nelson handed the card to Sandy assertively, "Brandon bought you a vi in Viteto City. I want to buy it

    from you."

"What?" Sandy had no idea when Brandon had bought her a vi, so she was genuinely surprised.

Seeing Sandy''s reaction, Nelson realized Brandon hadn''t told her, "Brandon never mentioned it to

    you?"

Sandy shook her head, "He''s never brought it up."

Nelson chuckled, "I guess Brandon forgot to mention it."

Sandy''s expression showed her confusion, prompting Nelson to rify, "I''m not insisting on buying that

exact vi from you. It''s just that my parents won''t find it, and they won''t know about it. After all,

    Brandon originally bought it."

"Even though we''ve severed ties, they''ll likely stille after Jim. They''ll try to separate us. So, I

thought having that vi would provide a discreet ce for me. I wouldn''t be around their radar."

Sandy fell silent for a few seconds, then spoke, "I''ll talk to Brandon about this. If it''s true, then I''ll let you

    have it."

Nelson grinned, "Aren''t you worried Brandon might not agree? Aren''t you afraid he''ll be mad?"

    "He''ll listen to

    me."

Nelson nodded, "Right, that''s how you handle men."

They continued their conversation outside for a while before Nelson took his leave. Once he was gone,

Sandy stared at the bank card he had left behind, her brows furrowing.

After some thought, she picked up her phone, intending to call Brandon. Just as she was about to dial

his number, she heard his voiceing from behind her. "Sandy."

Hearing his voice, Sandy paused her dialing, turning to face him. Brandon walked over, asking, "Did

    Nelson leave?"

Sandy nodded, "He left not long ago. Are you done with work?"

    Brandon nodded, "Pretty much."

Sandy bit her lip, pulling Brandon to sit down next to her, "Nelson came to see me. He mentioned that

you bought me a vi in the city. Is that true?"

Upon hearing Sandy''s words, Brandon was momentarily taken aback. Instead of denying it, he

admitted, "Yes, I did buy a vi. Nelson told you?"

Sandy nodded and handed him the bank card, asking, "Why is he giving this to me?"

Brandon took the card from her hand, "Nelson said he wants to buy the vi from you. He''s worried the

Penn family mighte looking for him or Jim, and he wants a ce where they won''t find him."

Sandy''s expression showed her confusion, "But why would he need to buy it from me?"

Brandon exined, "I suppose he figures my name is already attached to it, and it won''t raise

suspicions. He''s cutting ties with his family, so he wants a ce toy low."

"He mentioned that the family might try to separate him and Jim, and he wants a safe haven where

    they won''t know."

Sandy contemted this for a moment, "So, should I agree to sell it to him?"

    N?velDrama.Org owns this text.

Brandon shrugged, "It''s your call. If you''refortable with it, then go ahead."

Sandy nodded, "I''ll think about it."

As the conversation concluded, both Sandy and Brandon were left with their thoughts, pondering the

    implications of Nelson''s request.
