    Antonio had left around nine o''clock the previous night. It must have been around ten-thirty when he

    "Much better. She''s sleeping right now. I''m nning to take a shower and head to the store." Bonnie''s


    voice sounded a bit distant, likely on speakerphone as she multitasked.


    Yanis paused for a few seconds. "Are you at the cottage or Cooke Residence?"


    "Cooke Residence. After all, Myles needs someone with her. I''m going to have my dad watch over her


    for a bit. There''s some work at the store today that I need to handle in person."


    Yanis hummed again. "Busy as always?"


    Bonnie''s voice got closer. "Yeah, there''s quite a bit to do. We''re nning to move soon, so there''s a lot


    to take care of. Plus, I need to check out the new location. It''s a busy time. Just rest and recover


    properly. Linda and I can handle everything. Once you''re stable, I can finally take a break."


    Listening to Bonnie, Yanis chuckled and responded, "Well, I have ten more months to go, plus another


    year of postpartum confinement. You''ll be busy this whole year."


    Bonnie let out a sound of agreement. "You''re right. But once in a while, Linda and I can handle things.


    You focus on taking care of yourself. These are important times."


    Yanis sighed softly. "Alright, I''m done talking. You go ahead and take care of your tasks."


    Bonnie hummed. "By the way, how about dinner tomorrow night?"


    "Dinner?"


    "I''m inviting Lawyer Phillips for dinner. You and Zane shoulde too. It''ll be less awkward that way."


    "I''m not going," Yanis firmly declined. "If you''re the one inviting, you should be the one expressing


    gratitude. What''s the point of us going? Can''t you be more sincere?"


    Bonnie scoffed yfully. "Aren''t I being sincere enough? Maybe I should send a gift over."


    Yanis was helpless. "Fine, next time I see Lawyer Phillips, I''ll try to persuade him on your behalf."


    Bonnieughed. "Alright, I''ll leave it to you then."


    Yanis sighed in response, then realized Bonnie had already hung up the phone.


    Looking at the now disconnected phone, Yanis shook her head with a smile. Lane was undoubtedly


    serious about Bonnie.


    However, Bonnie''s heart was still tied to her past, and it seemed she had little inclination to consider


    anyone else in this lifetime. But Yanis genuinely didn''t want Bonnie to be this way, and Haider didn''t


    either.


    Myles wouldn''t want that either. She wouldn''t want to see her sister stuck in the same ce forever,

    Yanis stayed upstairs for a while longer before remembering that Aurora was being discharged from


    the hospital today. She headed downstairs and drove to the hospital.

    "I came alone. Your brother went to the office." Yanis nced at her watch. "I''m heading to see Reed.


    Want toe with me? I''ll drop you off afterward."


    "Sure."


    Originally, Aurora could have been discharged that day, but she had identally pressed on her wound


    while sleeping, causing some bleeding around the stitches. As a result, she had to stay an extra day at


    the hospital.


    Yanis apanied Aurora to see Reed.


    "Yanis!" Reed greeted Yanis as soon as he saw her.


    Yanis responded, "How are you feeling?"


    "I''m fine. What brings you here?"


    "I''m picking up Aurora and thought I''d drop by to see you." Yanis paused, then asked, "Where''s An?


    Isn''t he here with you?"


    "He went to get some food. He should be back soon."


    Yanis nodded and inquired, "When can you be discharged?"


    "In the afternoon. I still need to receive a few IV drips." Reed replied.
