Linda looked puzzled and asked Yanis, "Yanis, what''s going on?"
Yanis didn''t exin to Linda immediately; instead, she spoke quietly to the bride, "We won''t refund your
deposit. If you think it''s unreasonable, you can call the police."
After saying this, Yanis turned to Linda and said, "Arrange for someone to remove everything."
Linda questioned, "Remove everything? All of it?"
Yanis nodded, "Yes, everything."
Linda wanted to ask why, but seeing the seriousness on Yanis''s face, she refrained from asking further
and just nodded, then went to make a call to arrange the removal.
While Linda was on the phone, the bride looked at Yanis and said, "What does this mean? We''ve paid
you everything!"
Yanis stepped forward, getting closer to the bride, "Do you know the consequences of fraud and
extortion? You could end up in prison for years."
The bride''s expression froze when she heard Yanis''s words, and she looked at Yanis in shock.
"What? Do you want me to be more detailed, or should I call the police right now?"
Panicking, the bride hurriedly said, "It wasn''t my idea; you should go talk to him!"
With that, the bride turned and ran towards the main entrance.
After Linda finished her call, she came back and saw the bride fleeing. "Yanis, what just happened?
Whose clothes are you wearing?"
Yanis exined what had happened to Linda briefly.
After listening, Linda immediately understood, "No wonder they were acting separately. They wanted to
cause trouble at the wedding tomorrow and extort money from us."
Yanis nodded, "That''s pretty much it."
Linda grumbled for a while before asking, "Yanis, should we go back to the store now?"
Yanis replied, "Let''s go."
As they returned to the store, Yanis received a call from Zane.
"Zane."
"Are you hurt?" Zane asked directly as soon as the call connected.
Yanis knew that Anthony must have informed Zane about the situation, so she replied softly, "I''m fine.
Did Anthony tell you?"
Zane responded, "I''m on my way now. Get ready, I''ll pick you up and take you somewhere."
Yanis agreed, "Okay."
"I''ll be there shortly."
After hanging up, Yanis tidied up her things and prepared the items that the clients woulde to
collectter. She handed them to Linda, saying, "I''ll be going out for a while. Someone wille to
collect these itemster."
Linda nodded, "Alright, I got it."
Zane arrived quickly, just under twenty minutes after the call. He parked his car in front of the
restaurant and got out, walking over to Yanis. He nced up and down at Yanis and said, "Why didn''t
you call me?"
Yanis looked at Zane and said softly, "I''m fine. No need to worry."
Zane was about to say something when he noticed the clothes Yanis was wearing. He furrowed his
brow slightly.
Yanis also noticed Zane''s change in expression and followed his gaze to her clothes. She exined,
"My clothes got damaged, so Anthony lent me his coat."
After saying that, Yanis took off the coat and looked at Zane, "So, can you give me yours?"
Zane didn''t say anything and directly took off his own coat, putting it on Yanis, "Get in the car."
Yanis nodded and followed Zane into the car.
Once inside the car, Zane turned to Yanis, getting closer and pulling her into his embrace, "I''m sorry."
Yanis was taken aback by Zane''s words, "Why are you suddenly apologizing?"
Zane didn''t say anything more, just hugged Yanis tightly, as if trying to melt her into his body.
Yanis felt a bit ufortable with the tight hug and gently patted Zane''s back, "It''s okay."
Zane held Yanis for a while before finally letting go. He then lowered his head and kissed her lips
gently, "I''ll have Albi follow you from now on."
"No need." Yanis immediately refused Zane''s suggestion, "I don''t encounter these kinds of people
often, and if Albi follows me, it will just burden you. He can stay by your side and help you out."
"But..."
"Really, there''s no need. Stanley didn''te today, so I went with Yoyo. Once Stanleyes, I won''t
need to go anymore, so Albi doesn''t need to follow me."
Seeing Yanis so determined, Zane didn''t insist any further.
After leaving the store, Zane first took Yanis back to D-king Castle to change his clothes before going
to the restaurant where he had arranged to meet Foster.
As they parked the car in front of the restaurant, Zane briefly exined the situation to Yanis, including
the things between him and Foster.
Yanis listened quietly and replied softly, "I understand."
As they entered the restaurant, Foster was already there.
When Foster saw Zane and Yanis entering, his gaze went past Zane and fell directly on Yanis, "Mrs.
Lawrence."
Yanis nodded at Foster, "Mr. Cline."
"Have a seat," Foster said quietly.
After they were seated, Foster politely handed the menu to Yanis to order.
During the conversation, Zane received a call and went
outside to answer it.
Leaving only Yanis and Foster at the table.
Foster looked at Yanis, "Does Mrs. Lawrence know about the things between Zane and me?"
Yanis nodded, "He told me."
Foster smiled, "I thought he would never have feelings for anyone in his lifetime, but it turns out he just
hadn''t met the right person to make him lose control."
Before, Foster had thought that Zane, being the way he was, would always remain aloof and end up a
loner.
But he hadn''t expected that Zane, the reserved man, would be so popr with women.
Foster had wanted to see Yanis not with any ill intentions but just to give Zane a hard time.
However, upon seeing Yanis, Foster immediately dismissed the thought.
After so many years, many things had be clear to him.
