Chapter 714: Want You to Help Me Choose
Yanis watched as Bonnie took off her bracelet and handed him the box. "Well, Linda is also someone
who doesn''t sweat the small stuff," she said.
Bonnie put the bracelet in the box. "She''ll be so happy when she sees this that she won''t be able to
close her mouth."
Yanis said, "I happen to have a pair of earrings from the same collection. I''ll give them to her when I
see her."
"From the same collection?" Bonnie asked.
Yanis nodded. "When they were here before, I drew a sketch of them and gave it to them along with
their order. I thought it would be nice to give them as a giftter on, but never got around to it."
Bonnieughed at his words. "You make Linda sound like a garbage can for gifts!"
"Boss, why am I being called a garbage can?" Linda appeared out of nowhere carrying two sets of
dresses in her hands. "Whenever you''re not busy you start gossiping about me behind my back! If you
keep this up, I''m going to hand in my resignation!"
Bonnie casually pushed the box into Yanis'' hands and turned around to face Linda. "You''re not doing
your job properly if you''re eavesdropping on me without any reason! Do you dare pick a fight with me?"
Linda shook both sets of dresses in front of Bonnie''s face and said: "Miss Lamb ordered these two sets
today – should we pack them now or hang onto them until Monday?"
"They arrived so quickly?" Bonnie stood up and took one set from Linda''s hand for inspection before
checking its size carefully.
"Yes," replied Linda eagerly."There were several urgent orders that needed delivery over here so they
brought everything together."
After confirming there was no problem with either dress size or quality control issues, Bonnie told
Linda: "Hang onto these for now; next Monday morning we''ll deliver it ourselves."
Linda nodded then turned back towards Yanis while leaving: "So what bad things has my boss been
saying about me now?"
Yanis looked at Linda seriously."Why don''t you just resign? Come work for me instead."
"Oh Miss Thompson has gotten brave!" teased Bonnie while looking at Yanis."Are you trying dig dirt on
people right in front of us?"
"Linda," Yanis continued ignoring Bonnies teasing." Why don''te over? The benefits are definitely
better!"
"Sure thing!" agreed an excited sounding-Linda."If ever hear anything else negativeing from my
boss''s mouth again, I''m quitting immediately!"

Bonnie chuckled after hearing their conversation."Go ahead, Linda. Quit right now if that''s what makes
sense."
But, Linda shook head slowly."Not yet. Wait till i find another opportunity first!"
"Nothing urgent, just wanted to check in and see how you''re doing. How''s the booking along?"
Ahmed asked.
Yanis sighed, "It''s been a bit slowtely, but I''m making progress. Thanks for asking."
"No problem. Listen, I was wondering if you''d like to grab lunch sometime this week? We haven''t
caught up in a while."
Yanis smiled at the offer, "Sure thing. Let me check my schedule and get back to you on that."
"Sounds good. Talk to you soon," Ahmed said before ending the call.
After finishing his breakfast and sending the photo to Zane, Yanis headed out for his ns with Bonnie
and Zane for the day. The hot weather made it difficult to enjoy their outdoor activities but they
managed nheless.
As they were walking around townter that evening, Yanis received another unexpected call from
Linda.
"Hey Yanis," Linda greeted him on the other end of the line.
"Linda! What''s up?" Yanis replied with surprise evident in his voice.
"I know it''s been a while since west spoke but I was hoping we could meet up sometime soon?"
Yanis hesitated before answering her request as he wasn''t sure what her intentions were after their
previous encounter ended badly between them.
"I don''t know Linda... I''m not sure if that would be such a good idea," he finally responded cautiously.
Linda let out an exasperated sigh over the phone before saying firmly, "Look Yanis... I understand
things didn''t end well between usst time but can we please put all of that behind us? I really miss our
friendship and want nothing more than to catch up with you again."
Yanis thought about it for a moment longer before agreeing reluctantly; he missed their friendship too
after all these years apart from each other.
"Okay then... let''s n something soon."
"Here''s the thing, we want to buy some cakes and such. I asked several people but they all said they
had other ns and couldn''te. So, I wanted to ask if you have time to apany me to purchase
these things?"
Yanis hesitated for a moment, but before he could speak, Ahmed''s voice came through. "If it''s not
convenient for you, it''s okay. I can go by myself. I just wanted to ask because I haven''t been in
Manches City for years and some ces have changed a lot. I''m afraid that if we waste time looking for
suitable things and mess up the eventter on, it would be embarrassing."
"The event starts at around two in the afternoon?" Yanis asked.
Ahmed responded immediately,"Yes, so at one o''clock I need everything ready in case there is no time
left."
"Have you already left now?"
"I''m already on my way to city center."
"Give me your location when you arrive there so that I cane over as well. But keep in mind that I
may only have an hour of free time," Yanis said.
After Yanis hung up the call and sent Zane the photos he took earlier, he went upstairs to change his
clothes before driving out of his house.
While waiting at a traffic light on the road, Yanis told Zane that he was going out first but would return
home when Zane didter.
The mall had just opened its doors early in the morning with few people around so buying things didn''t
require queuing up.
They bought many items including two threeyered cakes as well as flowers.
After arranging everything neatly, Ahmed checked his watch which showed slightly more than an hour
passed.
"Yanis, is what you''re doingter very urgent?"
Yanis looked towards Ahmed after hearing him speak softly,"It''s not too urgent. Why do you ask?"
"I want to pick something out as a gift for my friend. So, I was wondering if you could help me choose.
Is that okay with you?"
