    After Bonnie left, Yanis hesitated for a moment before picking up his phone and sending a message to


    Zane.


    The response came quickly: "Yanis, we''re on the same wavelength. I was just about to send you a


    message."


    Yanis smiled as he read Zane''s message. "Coming back today?"


    "Getting into Manches City around 9 o''clock. Meet me?"


    Yanis sent a voice message back immediately: "Nancy''s engagement party is tonight. Bonnie and I are


    heading over to the hotel now. It should be over around 8 or 9 o''clock. Give me a call when you get


    there."


    Zane called right away.

    "Are you driving?" Zane''s voice came through the phone.


    "No, we haven''t left yet. Bonnie is changing clothes," Yanis replied.


    "You had something to ask me earlier?"


    Yanis hesitated for a moment before lowering his voice and asking, "Have you been in contact with


    Myles these past few days?"


    "Nope, why do you ask?"

    Zane''s voice on the other end of the phone immediately became serious.


    Yanis said, "No, Nancy doesn''t know Iris well. Bonnie just said that."


    "I''ll be there at nine o''clock. Wait for me," Zane said.

    The two chatted casually for a few more sentences before hanging up under Bonnie''s urging.


    After Yanis hung up the phone, Bonnie looked at him with great disdain. "You guys made up? You''re


    already so lovey-dovey right after making up? Are we still having dinner or not?"


    "We didn''t make up. I just asked him something."


    "What could you possibly ask? Did you ask Scumbag when he''sing back? Are you anxious to go


    home with him?" Bonnie nagged like a shrew for a long time without giving Yanis any chance to


    interrupt her.


    Yanis decided not to say anything and listened until she finished before speaking again. "Are you


    thirsty? Shall I get you a bottle of water to drinkter?"


    When Bonnie heard what Yanis said, she red at him and eximed: "You prioritize your girlfriend


    over your friends!"


    Yanis smiled and caught up with Bonnie saying: "I prioritize you."


    "Then if both of us fall into water while swimming with Zane who would you save?"


    "I''ll save you," replied Yanis confidently.


    "I don''t believe it."


    "I really will save you," promised Yanis firmly.


    Bonnie snorted lightly and retorted: "Scumbag can swim too right?"

    By the time they arrived at Nancy''s engagement party hotel it was almost six o''clock in the evening.


    Nancy had previously worked as an agent in Gotrend Entertainment so most of her friends were from


    entertainment industry circles.

    around you? Can you introduce one to me?"

    Yanis shook his head at Nancy and said, "You go about your business. Don''t mind her. She''s a little

    too familiar to me but we''ve dealt with each other on a case before. He''s awyer with good character."


    "Awyer sounds great! Is he handsome?" Bonnie leaned in towards Nancy as if she was really


    interested.


    Nancy nodded her head. "He''s quite good-looking actually; let my husband introduce him to you since


    they have better rtions."


    "Okay then! If it works out, I''ll treat you to dinner!" promised Bonnie.


    "No problem," replied Nancy.


    Although they spoke this way, Nancy still kept some caution within herself; she didn''t really ask her


    husband to introduce anyone for Bonnie.
