Tossing and turning, Robert was restless and couldn''t fall sleep. His mind was racing, thinking about
the good times that he had had with Linda when they were younger. In particr, two years ago, when

Finally, there was a breakthrough in the case. At 7am, Paul rushed back into the living room, finding
Charles in the same spot that he had left him. "Young Master Mu, I think I found Her Ladyship! She is in

Charles'' facial expression turned grim.
Did Robert Huo kidnap Linda? Charles didn''t think so. Robert didn''t seem like he could. Even though

outter. Let''s go." Charles quipped, already half way to the front door.
Linda felt an excruciating pain in her head

Her memory had yet toe back. Perplexed, she tried to recall what had just happened. When she
opened her eyes, she found herself in a foreign ce, but the ceiling seemed familiar.

She touched her Dragon Ring on her hand subconsciously, resting easy that she still had it. She looked
down at herself, and breathed a sigh of relief, that her clothes remained intact and on her body.
As she turned around, she saw Robert lying on the nearby couch with his eyes closed. Obviously, he
was sleeping.

All she could remember was that at 4pm yesterday, when she was leaving school, the driver of a ck
car parking at the gate imed that he was asked by Charles to pick her up, matching what Charles
had told her earlier, so she got in without a hesitation.

The driver locked the doors and turned around with a handkerchief in his hand. The handkerchief was

Linda regretted that she didn''t mull over the driver''s statement, which was full of loopholes. It didn''t
make sense and she only realized this when she was already in the car.
She had thought that she was kidnapped by someone random but now that she saw Robert she wasn''t
sure what to think. It was so weird.
Instinctively, she figured that Robert wouldn''t hurt her, because if he was nning to, He wouldn''t have
slept on the sofa the whole night.
Linda concluded that Robert hadn''tid his hands on her, as she didn''t feel that there was anything
wrong with her body, and no item of clothing was out of ce.
But why did he bring her back here?
She was confused about everything and needed answers soon.
Robert was a light sleeper and, woke up as soon as he heard Linda fidgeting.
He felt uneasy as he noticed that she was looking at him suspiciously with a glint of fear in her eyes.
His heart sank. He never wanted her to think that he could ever hurt her.
"Linda, you are awake."
Knotting her eyebrows, Linda looked at him and asked, "What''s happening, Robert?"
Robert didn''t know how to exin it. He couldn''t tell Linda that his little brother Adam had abducted her,
nor could he tell her that she was presented to him as a gift. It sounded absurd even when he thought
about it. If he did, their friendship was very likely toe to an end and, There would be conflict
between the two families. So Robert decided to make up a story. "I wanted some information about the
schoolst night, so I called you. But your phone was switched off. I thought it was strange, so I
checked your GPS to see where you were. When I located you, you had been left on a bench by the
road with a handkerchief, which had been doused with chloroform by your side. I knew you had been
drugged. So, I thought it best to bring you somewhere safe, so I brought you here."

Thank you for bringing me to safety, Robert."
Linda answered, an expression of doubt on her face.
Linda was sure that Robert wasn''t telling the truth. But so far he didn''t mean to harm or offend her. But
at the back of her mind, a thought gnawed at her. How did Robert conveniently find her drugged at a
bench on the roadside and yet Charles couldn''t?

Another thought was; why did Robert bring her back to his house, instead of calling Charles or even

worried sick about me." With that, she put on her shoes, ready to leave. Suddenly, someone knocked
at the door. Robert gently said, "Come in."
Alice Mei opened the door, "Master Robert, there is a group of people in the living room for you. They
are demanding to see ..."
Before she could finish, Alice Mei noticed Linda.
Her mouth fell open.
"I told them that there was nody here in with you, but there she is.
Master Robert, what should I tell them?"
The inquiry gave Robert a headache. He didn''t know how to exin to Alice why and how Linda was in
his room.
