Chapter 1370
Lorin’s eyes briefly zed with agony. Perhaps now he finally realized that the woman who once loved
him didn’t love him any longer.
“Are you serious about Calvin?” Lorin asked.
Hanna replied without hesitation, “Yes, I’m serious. I hope you don’t bother us because I’m seriously
dating him now.”
“But how much do you know about him?” Lorin continued.
As he mentioned it, she thought of how he got along with his friends and the way they treated the
women who adored them in the private room at the party.
People like that had their own perspectives.
And Hanna realized that she came from a world different from theirs.
“If I want to get to know him, I’ll do it by myself. I don’t need anyone else to tell me about him,” Hanna
replied before walking into the apartment building.
“Do you believe that he really loves you?” Lorin suddenly stepped forward to block her.
“Why don’t I believe it?” she asked.
“The person he truly loves is Rosalie Leighton!” Lorin said. “Ro wife of Jonathan, the board chairman of
Youngblood Group. C pursued Rosalie madly. Even after Rosalie, he didn’t date any wo Manydies
and even famous and unknown beautiful actresses in entertainment industry from Strico want to be his
girlfriends. Do think he really loves you when he dates you?”

Hanna’s body trembled slightly. Rosalie must be the woman she and Calvin had encountered the other
day. When he talked to the woman that day, Calvin’s tone was surprisingly softpared to his usual
demeanor.
It had never urred to Hanna that Calvin’s love for a woman would be so profound.
Lorin used the word “madly”. It just showed how much Calvin loved that woman.
Lorin continued, “If it weren’t for Jonathan, Calvin might have already taken Rosalie away. Calvin may
be ying a game with you out of whim.”
“So you don’t believe Calvin truly loves me? Why did Calvin fall in love with ady like me whoes
from amon family and has a normal appearance when there are so many gorgeous and wealthy
actors and actresses out there? That’s what you think, right?”
Lorin choked and hesitated for a moment before saying, “I… just don’t want you to be tricked.”
“Then I can tell you very clearly that I didn’t get tricked,” Hanna stated. “And I think Calvin gave up
Rosalie not because his husband was Jonathan, but because Rosalie loved Jonathan.”
Calvin didn’t give in because of Jonathan’s power!
“You…really…” For a moment, Lorin didn’t know what else to say to persuade her.
“Lorin, I think you should understand that I hate deception the most. There’s been no deception
between Calvin and me since the beginning. I can tell you very clearly that he has never lied to me!
“After saying that, Hanna looked away and turned to walk into the building.
Lorin was left behind, standing in front of the building with a bitter smile. “He has never lied to you?
Hanna, you will realize that you afford to be with a man like him one day!”
Hanna returned to her apartment, put down her purse, walked into bathroom, turned on the faucet, and
washed her face.
She looked at her wet face in the mirror. She knew that she was not stunningpared to the women

No wonder his friends at the party looked at her with skepticism in their eyes when Calvin took her

Well, she was his fake girlfriend after all. It was just a deal between the two of them.

She knew Calvin was out of her league, so she wouldn’t fancy getting things that should not belong to
her.
After everything between them was over, her life would be peaceful again. What she did for now
was to repay him for sending someone to save her!
All of a sudden, her phone rang. Hanna pulled out her phone from her pocket and looked at the screen.
It was from Calvin.
She swiftly answered the call.
“Hey, will you be avable tomorrow evening?” Calvin’s cold voice sounded on the phone.
“Yes,” she answered.
“Then go to a banquet with me tomorrow evening.”
She was stunned. “A banquet? Is it a formal one?”
“Soft of,” he said.
“But… I don’t have a formal dress for that,” Hanna said awkwardly. She barely attended formal events
that required formal attire, so she didn’t have such apparel in her wardrobe. She would only disgrace
him if she showed up at the banquet dressed in casual attire.
Calvin said, “I’ll prepare it for you. I will send the driver to pick tomorrow.”
“Oh, that’s nice.” Hanna breathed a sigh of relief.
“That’s it. Good night,” Calvin said, about to end the call.
“Wait,” Hanna couldn’t help crying out
“What’s the matter?”
“When you take me to the party, do you really think people will believe that I am your girlfriend? After
all, your former girlfriends and I… ” she murmured.
“Why don’t they believe it? I chose you to be my girlfriend. There is no reason for others not to believe
it. I just need you to disy your affection for me in front of others.”
“Oh? Okay, I got it. Good night,” she murmured.
After ending the call, Hanna looked at her phone with a bitter smile. Was she insecure about herself?
After so many years, she had believed she had ovee the suffering brought on by Lorin and
Christine, but she was wrong. She was still affected by it, especially now her boyfriend was Calvin, the
most powerful young man in the entertainment industry!
Shaking her head, she urged herself to behave like a good girlfriend no matter what!
The next day, the Gunner family’s driver picked Hanna up and drove her to a personal styling salon in
Strico, where a VIP system had been implemented. Regr people could not join it.
When Hanna walked into the salon, a shop assistant greeted her and asked respectfully, “Good
morning. Are you Ms. Hanna Zimmerman?”
