“ Ahh the meat kebab sure hit the spot now back to hunting again. It sure helps when the frying pan can attack and also doubles as a shield for parry at time. I need to get a pot soon or i can’t make stew.
This hidden class must be made by a perfectionist for a perfectionist. Without the system assist I would have failed more dishes than I can think of. Before the rebirth when I played as a combat class I did not even need to think and all I needed was to put them together and the system assist will do up a decent meal. Now as a chef not only do I have to control the fire, I have to control the size of the ingredients, the amount of seasoning and also the arrangement of food before the dish is complete.On the bright side, by the time I achieve the mastery of Grandmaster tier I would most likely can be a world renown chef in the real world as well... Minus the strength and speed though haha”
*There should be a cave somewhere up this mountain. just where can it be? it just sucks that the developers chose to hide all the names friend list when you are reborn and cannot add those friends back until 5 days of have pass in real life and that you have to be of a certain distance to them in game so that you can show up in their friendlist and that you have to wait for them to talk to you. The only exception is that you and your friends meet up face to face will they be automatically added back to the list and will prompt you instead.
even though it adds a certain amount of realism to the game it sucks when u have to hunt alone all over again until you get to the main towns or meet someone along the way*
According to the developers, imagine being reborn, would you know where all your friends are? Are they still alive? Are they going to be able to find out that you are ‘gone’ from this world and that they would ‘think’ that you are dead. Waiting for five days in real time and setting a distance is set so that with their ‘senses’ they detect the reborn you and initiate the contact. After all, you can choose even new race and be reborn to the level of royalties. It would be just weird if a weak random guy comes up to you and say “Hey! Remember me?”
Sadly being unable to beat that logic, i rushed about different places hoping to find caves as caves are the sole source or rare loot and fame.

Finally A cave! I hope to find the pet that I want! It is not easy to find a boss pet that helps with scavenging. I have to beat it to an inch of its life and with a proper taming items, try and hope it succeed. Without the item 1% just doesn’t cut it and it takes forever to succeed and i do not want to waste my pet spot on a useless pet.

These are at best just magic level only and because they are not identified i cannot wear them!!!!
This is just so boring. after killing so many high level mobs these are just moving too slowly already. no challenge already. the only irony is the fact that i can’t move fast as my agility is still too low and I am using mana to compensate and my mana is not regenerating fast enough to match my old speed. With mana regenerating at 27.6 per min it is keeping up with all the skills i am running now. The mana i have now will not last once i gain more combat skills and increase the number of channeling spell i can cast at the same time.

But item! What item would work to tame him? I am sure the item to tame him would be something found in this cave. Think! Think! use all that 50 INT and 69 WIS to think! What could it be? Wait… Could it be? The ring! It is not unknown but special! And I am already wearing it! I was wearing it for the 1 armor and totally forgot about it because i can’t see it in my inventory!!!
“Hey Edward! Do you recognise this!” I lifted my hand wearing that ring and let it glisten for that moment.
The kobold froze in its track. Good I guess I am Right! now all i need is the right questions to fill the bar to increase my chances

Sweet skills but as usual you need to train it from ground up.
Best part is that he can help carry stuff and he is fast. way faster than me if he wants to. I only did not understand why is it that he did not use it when fighting with me? Was it because he did not want to destroy the items in the cave? Who knows sadly. The moment they are tamed they lose all memories of their past life and are reborn with a clean slate. The only thing they keep is the personality (which is the AI module that keeps it alive), the basic character type skills and their level is set back at 1..

Time to head out of the cave and train Edward. Need him and his abilities to be as high as possible.

With the help of such good housekeeper i can’t waste him and his ability!
With the skill being added to what i can currently do, it really helps by granting me +20% chance to get monster parts even though the damage bonus does not overlap, i get way better quality materials and that is useful when i am cooking. Better materials means better dishes and that adds to my skill bonus and food effect bonus i can even ask him to use [Mana Sight] when i am resting so that he can gather stuff for me.
It would just as funny when i ask him to serve food to others when i ask him to replicate [Heart of a True Chef] him getting the intimacy with NPC will help with delivery quest and grant me more bonuses
Edward has just wayyy too many good skills to be exploited the possibilities that i am imagining.Sadly this idea only works after you have reborn and only if you have chosen the [Tamer] class and be reborn with the skill [Tame] and meet this boss and know the secret item for taming. Without the item, just filling the bar would give you chance to get the boss but not the secret skill of the Pet. It would seem that the skill [Replicate] would be the secret skill of this boss and that haste is the typical skill that you will obtain when you get the typical kobold. Other kobold boss may have a secret skill of their own but this one is perfect for me!
With better drop rates, it seems more fun to kill pest that litters the forest that is being travelled.
High quality pelts started flooding my inventory as we hunted and i started getting rid of low quality ones. By the time we finally reached [Volute] i have become level 30 and Edward is already level 25

First off I need to find a tanner. I need to turn the pelts into something useful and they make it cheaper when I provide quality ones in bulk and what I have now is bulk. And bulks of it I have indeed. 400 rabbit pelts, 400 deer pelts, 300 wolf pelts and 200 lizard skins. And those are just the superior ones. I still have my 200 plus assorted normal pelts to be given to the shop so that they can use it to pay off the workmanship cost.it would work since i am giving the a huge amount at the same time and i am sure the shock will come to my benefit.

I step up to the counter and asked the young lady who looks to be in her early 20s :” Hey can I speak to the one in charge of this place? I have a good something that he is likely to be more than happy to see”
Jamie:’Hi my name is Jamie and what is it that can interest my father?”
Marcus:” Enough leather to make him happy for an extended amount of time”
Jamie immediately perks up at the sound of that and tried to pry for more information.” how much leather is that”

Jamie’s eyes grew as wide as a dime and I almost could hear the sound of ‘kaching!’ coming from her head as she stood there for the moment before dashing to the back. Minutes later she came back with a man in his 40s .
Carlos:“Hi I am Carlos and this is my daughter Jamie. My apologies that she suddenly ran off like that. She tend to like dashing about ever since she was young. “

Carlos:” Ouch. Where were we? Right. She said something about 400 rabbit pelt. So can you tell me the full detail?
Marcus:” i have 400 rabbit pelts, 400 deer pelts, 300 wolf pelts and 200 lizard skins. These are all of superior quality. I would like to convert them all into proper leather. What is the conversion rate of each type of leather can you provide for them and what is your offer?
I layed out all that 1300 pieces of pelts and skins across the table and floor as the table ran out of space.
Carlos:” Tha-tha-that is a large number of leather! How did you get so much of everything? Either way Rabbits are 4:1, deer are 2:1, wolf are 2:1 and lizards are 4:1. and it is 10 copper for each piece of leather and that would be 5000 copper or 50 silver for normal leather and 15 copper for each piece of leather or 75 silvers for superior leather.”
Marcus:” I am a traveler. I traveled from Birchwood and have been killing the entire way here and that is how i got so much skins and pelts with me. and as for why so much of it is superior, i wont tell you. it is my personal secret. how about this, I give you my leather and in exchange you charge me for the price of normal leather.”
Carlos was lost as he could not tell me anything while looking at the piles of skins and pelts. I opened up a space on the table and placed the remaining 200+ normal pelts that I was still holding on.
Marcus:” i am giving you these and just think about it. you can surely sell this off for a higher price than just the cost of making them. think about it. 50 over leather free and that i am sure you are skillful enough to make some of these normal pelts into superior leather that you can sell at higher price. just think about it.you can always tell them, it will take it will take a while to turn them all into leather but you are willing to swap them for already completed ones at a higher price.
Imagine. 10 copper for a leather that you need to wait and 12 copper for a leather that you will be able to take away immediately. I am very sure most travelers would take the 12 copper option as most traveler are impatient and i am sure you know it. You can mark up even the superior ones and the inferior ones. Think about it. I just gave you a business idea that you can very well use and i am very sure no one else has told you that or has give that much leather to you at one go. I will even tell those people i meet that you are so skillful that you turned my common pelts into quality leather very quickly. i will give you a day to work your magic. i am sure you already have a stock of leather with you that you can swap with me with but i doubt you have enough of each type that i am providing. just think about it. for exchange, 12 copper and if they wait, 10 copper and all you need to do is actually just work as per normal and take out those that you are already done with but just labeled for them when they appear and if they ask for more than what you can provide, just ask them to wait longer.so how about it? Is it a deal?”
Jamie:” YES. Deal. Dad, it is fine to make a loss this time but his idea is worth the loss. we lose out on these 500 leather but we would earn it back in no time. Within a month we would have earned back this loss.”
Carlos:” Since my daughter said so I guess I can’t complain. She is the treasurer of my family. She is better than my wife and I at this.”
Marcus:” then i leave everything here and will be back in a day for them.”
I got back 100 rabbit soft leather, 200 deer soft leather, 150 wolf medium leather and 50 hard lizard skin i had to part with 50 silvers but i guess it was worth it. considering that i gave over 1500 items and got back 500 much better items in just a day. the people who managed to convert such a large number gained quite a large amount of exp anyway and we both profited.
Next stop, tailor.
I need a full set of gear for myself. I cant keep using cooking gear for combat and use mana to keep them from breaking. The skill [Mana Manipulation] is more useful than what most people think. Too bad I do not have elemental manipulations if not the synergy is just going to be off the scale.

With this my armor are set. Too bad about the bracer, no stats but at least 2 pet wolf is not bad will speed up combat big time. i need to reach the stage where i can generate faith soon. Who knows when will the next demigod appear.

Marcus:” FREE FOOD !!! FREE FOOD!!! Children and elderlies to the front and adults and guardians to the back! There is plenty to go around!”
setting up 2 set of cooking set and cooking at the same time, one was left to simmer into a meat stew while the other was set to a stir-fry. The stir-fry was made for the people who needed special diet due to various reason while the meat stew was meant for everyone. The response was slow but the sweet aroma slowly wafted out and more and more started coming in.
After 2 hours of cooking non-stop everyone were fully fed. guess now is phase 2 of the plans
Marcus:” Can someone tell me the full story of what happened here?”
A fit male villager with injuries all over him came over and told the story:” They came from the woods to the left over there. We could manage the goblins that came over usually. but this time when they came the crowd came together with more than ten times the amount and some of them were even on wolves. i am quite sure that there were some hobgoblins mixed in as some were taller and darker than the others. all the while while we were fighting there were War drums being sounded and the fight much harder. it seems that even the warchief came out on this assault. we could barely handle them before the town guards came and chase them away. they took almost all the women who were hiding in the houses while the men were fighting. Please save them! my wife and daughter were both taken by them.”

As I walked amongst the injured while heading towards the den of the goblins, I gave encouragement and promised each who have someone taken that I will do my best and bring them back. It took a while to find the den but after walking around the woods for over an hour i finally saw patrol unit of 5 goblins doing their rounds.

Following them i finally found the den.

i waiting as each unit of patrol went out and killed them to get the hang of the attack patterns of the goblins. each of them had a different set of personality with a different set of attack pattern, making it more varied and more challenging to predict their movement and motions. Weapon X Attack Pattern X Personality. the developers made these as the fairly basic randomization to make it harder to blindly kill. imagine a cowardly but fast mob that had high attack, it hits until hit and then it runs so u are forced to chase it if u want kill it while at the same time an aggressive defensive makes unable to do so. because of all these varieties, a basic knowledge of all personalities and attack patterns are needed. it gets really hard if it is an archer with a sly nature using the attack pattern of hit and run. you will never be able to kill unless you are able to corner it.
This added a sense of realism to the game, personality influences the game big time. a charismatic nature on any monster or NPC would usually result is a boss or noble of sort that has a bunch of lower monster or NPC surrounding them. Quest related to them will tend to appear more often. it is quite likely that there is a mini boss similar to a goblin kind in this den based on what the villager said. Big mob with team mechanic. will be hard to kill unless i kill all the mobs in the den before reaching the boss. if i do not kill it will be likely that when i rescue the villagers the boss will capture them again and surround me.
The best answer is to wipe the boss then save them as usual. it is the only safe choice to prevent a chain quest may require me to return and kill it later. hopefully i get to have some fame from the villagers and faith to bring me closer to godhood and i am sure of one thing. this is just demigod level rebirth, I most likely will have to be reborn again to get to full godhood though.
as i wandered in the den, i saw goblins from all walks of life doing business. Trading and bartering with each other although most of the time they end up fighting and the winner takes all. it is rather interesting to watch but rescue and boss hunting comes first.
killing the occasional patrol goblins i realized that some paths had more in each unit that the other. speculating that the boss is in the area with more goblins, i starting killing my way there. Twice i almost let the goblin slip away to sound the alarm. it is not safe to do so. i may kill fast but not that fast. Being a cook has its disadvantages but being able to dual wield give me the damage i need.

Finally the boss fight i have been waiting for.
i am level 32 and he is lvl 35. just the right amount of level gap. Nothing to oppressive.

In the game of Uprising, all mob have racial and class skills, that is common knowledge but there is also skills unique to individual mobs, they may be granted blessings or skills due to their own actions. you can defeat a goblin king from a certain spawn location and when a new one respawns it would have a new set of skills, weapon, character and traits. the level will also differ. the game makers made the game this way as to make it such that no two mobs are the same. like how i got edward who has the [Replicate] skill while another who goes to his spawn point may get the skill [Pickpocket] instead.
