Chapter 524 Shi Wei Lost Her Mind

The doctor nodded in understanding. “Madam, do wait here for a moment. I’ll give Mrs. Fu a checkup
inside,” said Yu Qing before leading Shi Nuan into the room for the examination.
As Shi Nuan was already well into her pregnancy for almost five months, her baby bump was clearly
showing. Yu Qing examined Shi Nuan for a while and confirmed that all of her vital signs andb
results were normal. “Keep it up! I see that you’re being well taken care of, but remember to walk
around more instead of sitting down so often at home!”
“Okay!” Shi Nuan got down from the bed and smiled warmly at her assessing doctor. “Thank you, Dr.
Yu.”
“No problem at all!” Compared to many other pregnant women, Shi Nuan was actually very

expression, she said, “Mom, can you wait here for a minute? I want to go to the restroom.”

common for pregnantdies; I used to go to the restroom all the time when I was carrying Yan as well.

herself. With a deep frown, she asked, “Shi Wei, have you been in hiding during this period of time so
that the police can’t find you?”
“That’s right. You don’t seem too surprised to see me,” responded Shi Wei as she eyed her sister
coldly. “Shi Nuan, it’s all because of you! If it weren’t for you, I wouldn’t have ended up where I am right
now!”
“Were you the one who killed Su Su?” Shi Nuan naturally saw the handkerchief in the hand of Shi Wei,
who was nning to use it to cover the former’s nose and mouth. Thus, Shi Nuan arrived at a
conclusion.
As her sharp eyes raked over Shi Wei, Shi Nuan used both her hands behind her back to speedily find
her phone in her purse and, to the best of her recollection, press a certain series of buttons. While
doing so, her icy gaze met Shi Wei’s. Shi Nuan inquired, “Was it also you who caused Grandfather’s

that the person whose number had been dialed was Fu Chengyan. She instantly spoke into the phone.
“Yan, I’m in the hospital. I—” Before she could finish her words, her vision turned ck all of a sudden.
A ck silhouette took over her so swiftly that she could barely see who it was.
The man snatched the phone away from Shi Nuan’s hands and strangled her with one hand. His eyes
gleamed sharply as he scanned the call log on the phone before throwing it away. “Mrs. Fu!”
Shi Nuan was forced to her feet as the man’s hand strangled her neck. She kept hitting his arms
incessantly, trying to break free from his grasp, but the man would not let her have her way so easily.
“Stop struggling if you don’t want to die!”
And so, Shi Nuan stopped fighting back. Although she was afraid, she forced herself to calm down.
“Who are you?”
The man smirked and nced at Shi Wei from the corner of his eyes. “Just as expected, she’s a
useless wench! I have to take matters into my own hands after all.”
“Who in the world are you?”
“Our master would like to see you, Mrs. Fu!”
Shi Nuan looked at the man calmly and questioned, “So, you guys were the one ordering Shi Wei
around? Is your goal not to kill me?”
The man smiled and replied, “It is not up to me whether to kill you or not. What else would you like to
know, Mrs. Fu? I think it’d better for you to direct your questions to our master!” As soon as he finished,
a handkerchief appeared out of nowhere in the man’s hand. With a slight touch to her face, Shi Nuan
felt her head be heavy, and she passed out.
After looking at Shi Nuan, the man nced at Shi Wei again and scoffed. Then, he picked up the
unconscious Shi Nuan and carried her away.
