Save One, Kill All
“What?” I was stunned. How dare he take away my toy. The ‘Resident’ shifted uncomfortable.
“…” I glared at the ‘Resident’ as it remained silent. “… A bite to eat?”
My eye twitched. “No, I do not want to go eat something. I wanted to torture, maim, and kill that pitiful insect.”
“Ahem… Right, well that is probably not a good idea. I do believe that you came here to discuss something with these people so it would be best…”
“Best? What would be best? These people were here for most of a week and no one came to greet them.”
“…”
“Then in that week they manage to brake one of the most important rules which is not to attack another citizen. However no one comes down here to inflict punishment or to explain the rules of the town.”
“That is a bit…”
“Further more when I come down to do just that I was insulted and had lightning shot at me.”
“I can see how that would be…”
“However instead of killing the savage right then I let it go. Managing to talk to one of these damned wizards only to learn that everyone acts on their own. After wasting effort to gather them together I get shouted at, insulted, and had a lightning serpent shot at me.
Then crude fire ball like attacks from the same person. I finally give him a choice between a painless death or a painful one. After all of that I was now able to start my fun and then you came and took it away.”
“…”
“So no I do not want to grab a bight to eat.”
“… I see. I am sorry.”
I smirked. “Are you sorry oh Death God?” The ‘Resident’ just watched me silently. “If you are truly sorry then either bring back my toy or replace him.”
“I am not doing that Kaz.” I glared at the ‘Resident’. [ It’s all his fault to begin with. If someone had just come over and explained things nothing like this would have happened. Then I wouldn’t of had to be subjected to this farce. It would be so much easier to just destroy it… ] I smiled.
“Well fine if you don’t want to take his place I’ll just have to settle for the building.”
“Kaz wait…”
My smile grew bigger. [ To late. ] Trees sprouted through out the building creating holes and cracks along the walls. As they grew bigger parts of the ceiling fell in. Screaming and panicking could be heard outside the shadow barrier. The shadows slowly dissipated to reveal the scenes around us.
Wizards were running around in a panic as trees grew all around then. Some of them were unlucky and got impaled by the trees when they shot out of the ground and were screaming in agony. Others were crushed by falling marble and wooden beams. The trees grew destroying everything that was in their way. Vines shot out and started wrapping their way around anything that was higher then the ground. In one case a pitiful Wizard.
I called forth Green Men to help ‘evacuate’ the area. The Wizards were trying to run out the door as fast as they could while dodging the debris that came falling down on top of them. The ‘Resident’ watched in silents as I smiled feeling quite satisfied with what was happening. A root shot out of the ground and grabbed a fleeing Wizard dragging him back and wrapping him up. Crashes, screams, booms, and the feel of nature was starting to make me feel better.
Glancing up and saw Grisha was still on the stairs watching in horror at the scene below. “Sigh, !@$%%^# %^^# *&^@#” A Green Man ran up to Grisha and started dragging him down the stairs. He was kicking and screaming as he was drug through the door to safety. [ I guess one should live. ]
Fog started to fill the area causing the visibility to drop. Clicking, scraping, dragging, screaming, and running could be heard but not seen causing mass hysteria. Some of the remaining Wizards were firing attack magic randomly. Fire balls, water shots, ice beams, and other flashes of light could be seen traveling around in the fog. After a while the screams died down and only one or two moans of agony remained.
The fog cleared to reveal a scene strait from a horror movie. People where fused to trees earthier through impalement by the branches or rapped in roots and vines. The one Wizard that was drug back by the roots was currently being used as live nutrients. He groaned quietly. Others were smashed by pieces of fallen ceiling. Trails of blood and body parts laid around the room. Walls had been broken down and the roof was gone. It looked like an ancient ruin.
I smiled in satisfaction. The trees had stopped growing fast and were now back to their normal pace. Vines strung there way across trees, people, and building parts. All in all it looked very much like a rain forest except instead of animals there was death. The ‘Resident’ just stood not saying a word about what had happened.

“Haa, I feel so much better.” The ‘Resident’ turned to look at me. “Well that solves the issue. There will be no more disputes between the Coven and the Wizards.” I smiled brightly.
“… There are no more Wizards.”
“And that means that there are no more disputes. They did come into the town without asking and just up and built a building for them to live while disregarding the rules. Plus I needed to do something after all that mess that I came back to just so that everyone remembers who runs this town. Hopefully they’ll get the message.”
The ‘Resident’ turned back to the horror movie scene. “… I do not doubt the the message will be conveyed loud and clear.”
“Good. Well now ‘Resident’ I would like to go get that bite to eat.” I strolled across the pools of blood and disembodied limbs making my way out the door. Where Akuji, the twins, and Grisha were standing. “Akuji our business is done unless there was something else…”
“No…”
“Good, well then I am truly sorry for having called you out here for nothing.”
“It is not a problem.”
I smiled and walked away back to the center of town with the resident following behind fading in and out in the sunlight. [ It’s going to be one of those days. ]
