 "WAAAIITTT AAA MMIIINUUUTEE!!"

 Takashi screamed so loudly that his voice became hoarse.

 "That guy, what was he eating!?" he frantically asked.

 "You can tell by looking at it. It''s a roasted human arm. We''re going to have some of that and then have a great time touring through Suzuknd!"

 "How can you eat a human arm while looking at humans!? That''s crazy!! Stop it!! Stop it right now!!" Takashi said with all his being.

 ""Eeeeee--!""

 They both shouted at the same time. The Meru-Kiru sisters looked unhappy, but Takashi resolutely removed the stall from the area.

 (Haa--. I''m tired...) 

 While Takashi was sitting and resting away from Nephira and the others, Exce and Orneo arrived nearby, went up to him, and asked. 

 "How is it going, Lord Suzuki?" 

 "Like this and that..." 

 Takashi told them what he just witnessed, the story of a demon that sightsaw while eating a human''s arm. 

 "I can''t believe this!" 

 He shook his head while exining. It''s really impossible for him to understand. 

 (How ABSURD was that? I can''t imagine such a thing happening on Earth. What were those demons even thinking... Ah... Wait!! Sometimes we go around the zoo while eating frankfurters, don''t we...?) 

 "What''s the matter, Lord Suzuki?" 

 "Hmm." 

 Takashi thought deeply. He felt that this other world he now lived in was totally foreign and abnormal. However, from a livestock''s perspective, the world he came from might as well have been hell. 

 "I, am starting to lose my mind..." 

 "B-But, I''m SURE progress is being made in saving mankind!" 

 "Is that so?" 

 While talking with Exce, Takashi suddenly noticed a lot of noise in his surroundings and looked in the direction the ruckus came from. 

 The demons were gathering around Kate and staring at risse, who was being held in her arms. Seeing that, Takashi stood up in a panic. 

 "H-Hey! risse is not a sideshow!" 

 Fearing that risse might be harmed, Takashi rushed to her, but as neared them--- 

 "Oh-- there, there." 

 A snake-haired demoness was holding risse''s tiny hand. Next to her, a Cyclops folded his arms with a gentle expression on his face. 

 "Seeing them like this, even human babies are adorable." 

 Furthermore, a parent-son demon pair watched that, and the parent stroked her son''s head. 

 "I remember when you were like that, too." 

 "Come on, Mom." 

 Surrounded by multiple demons, risse was in a good mood, giggling andughing. Kate was also smiling while still looking bewildered. 

 A fiend with an insect-like face tossed the roasted human hand he had just purchased onto the grass. 

 "I''m starting to feel like this was not a good idea. You don''t eat humans while looking at them like that." 

 Takashi gazed at such a scene in a daze. Orneo made a high-spirited remark at Takashi''s side. 

 "This is a wonderful change! The demon said that risse, who has nothing to do with Lord Suzuki''s power, was cute! Furthermore, some of them began to feel against the idea of eating human flesh while looking at a human!" 

 "F-For sure!" 

 Takashi nodded vigorously. 

 Exce was also excited and she blushed a little as she enthusiastically said, "A new unprecedented ideology may spread among the demons!" 

 (I see! I guess what I''m doing is starting to bear fruit little by little!) 

 He felt like all his hard work had paid off, somehow. 

 Nephira soon arrived. 

 "Hey, Suzuki. I think it''s time for us to go home." 

 "Uh-Uhmmm. How was it, Nephira? Suzuknd...?" 

 "Uh-huh. Not a problem." 

 (All right! Suzuknd will continue to exist!) 

 As a result, everything went well. Takashi''s face broke into tears. It was exactly at that time. 

 "Don''t be RIDICULOUS!!" 

 A man''s angry voice was heard. The demons were all in a state of confusion. 

 "What''s up, with that ve? Where''s the owner?" 

 "Did he break his chain?" 

 Takashi was curious and peeked out from among the demons to see a human youth making bizarre noises. 

 (W-What, what?) 

 Takashi''s eyes met those of the rampaging human''s. The man''s eyes widened as he noticed Takashi, and he slowly approached him. 

 "You are the Hero?...!" 

 The man raised his voice even more. 

 "My father was! Yesterday, he was butchered!" 

 He turned his bloodshot eyes toward Takashi and shouted. 

 "Stop screwing with me! You are leaving everyone but those in Suzuknd to die!" 

 "I-I''m...!" 

 Takashi was unable to continue his response. How in the world could hefort a man whose parents had been eaten? 

 Exce stood in front of Takashi as if protecting him. 

 "L-Lord Hero said he wanted to start small!" 

 "While he is taking his sweet time, people are being killed every day! If you''re a hero, save them all right now!" 

 Both Exce and Orneo were speechless. The man red at Takashi. 

 "You hypocrite!!" 

 The man''s words cut through Takashi''s chest. And then, a momentter. The man''s head separated from his body and rolled off the ground, gushing fresh blood. 

 (Eh...) 

 Nephira kept her arm outstretched and her steely eyes fixed on the headless corpse. 

 "You little worm. Apologize with your death." 

 "W-What? Nephira...!" 

 "Suzuki is my Familiar and a Silver-rank soldier. A human spoke up against a superior soldier from the Thunder-Lance Charge. He deserved to die." 

 "But that doesn''t mean you have to kill him!" 

 "L-Lord Hero!" 

 As Takashi was about to approach Nephira, Exce tugged his arm. 

 "If you get into an argument with Lady Nephira now, you will never be able to achieve your dream!" 

 "That''s right! The very existence of Suzuknd, which has been finally approved, will be in jeopardy!" 

 "Ugh..." 

 After being admonished by Exce and the others, Takashi regained some of hisposure. 

 After taking a deep breath, Takashi slowly approached Nephira. 

 "Nephira. Let''s discuss it together."
