 Takashi felt deeply moved. But then he heard a sigh with a "fuaa" and looked back at the Meru-Kiru sisters walking behind him. The sisters seemed somewhat dissatisfied. 

 "Ah---hh. So boring, ya know--- right?" 

 "You know, Kiru. It''s not about it being boring or something like that." 

 "Hey, Suzuki. There''s a man over there in the field, right?" 

 "Ah, ahh. Uhm..." Takashi looked at the straw papers and matched the location to find out the name of the worker and said, "That man must be Mr. Glen." 

 He was working with a hoe and sweating from his forehead. He looked like a nice young man, a little older than Takashi. 

 Kiru picked up a huge stone, bounced it up and down in her hand, and said, "Is it okay, if I hit Glen, with this rock?" 

 "NO, WHAT FOR?!" 

 Takashi immediately moved toward her, trying his best to stop Kiru, who was already in pitching form. Kiru stopped her action at his efforts and waved her index finger sideways near his face indicating "tsk tsk". 

 "This is for the best of Suzuknd. I think we need some kind of attraction. So, we could attach targets to the clothes of these humans and hit them with rocks. Sounds like fun, right?" 

 "Not at all. It''s NOT fun!!" 

 "Chaa-- No good?" 

 Kiru threw down the stone she was holding. Itnded on the ground with a thud. 

 (How big a rock are you trying to throw!? If you hit him with that, you''ll kill Mr. Glen!) 

 Next to Takashi, whose mouth was hanging open, Meru was thinking with her hand on her chin. 

 "Ye---ah. I wonder if we cane up have a better idea---" 

 "Y--You see. Meru, Kiru. I''ll think of something..." 

 "Don''t be such a BORE! Because we, too, want to help you, Suzuki!" 

 "That''s right, that''s right---! I said I would support you, didn''t I?---! " 

 Takashi was perplexed. Orneo, who had been watching the situation quietly until now, carefully said, "I think it would be more resonant with the people around us if we made it sound like ''A vige built by demons and humans together''."

 In contrast to their excitement, Takashi felt an unmistakable sense of foreboding.

 The next day. 

 (W--What''s with this crowd?) 

 The day of the Suzuknd audit conducted by Nephira had arrived. And yet, the surrounding area had a festive atmosphere that surprised Takashi. At a nce, more than a hundred demons belonging to the Thunder-Lance Charge had gathered and could be seen walking around. 

 (Damn! It must be the work of Meru and Kiru!) 

 Takashi didn''t expect demons other than Nephira toe on this day. 

 "We will now begin the audit of Suzuknd," Nephira said. 

 Takashi nervously swallowed his saliva. Next to him was Nephira, themander of the Thunder-Lance Charge. If he could not satisfy Nephira, the operations of Suzuknd mighte to a halt. 

 Suddenly, Nephira''s hand touched Takashi''s hand. She squeezed his hand tightly with great force. 

 "Eh!? W--What!?" 

 "The area is overflowing with demons. I--It wouldn''t be safe for you to get lost, you know!" Nephira said with a slight blush. 

 (Uhh... If she doesn''t like what she sees here, it''s not good.) 

 Thinking that not reciprocating might affect the audit, Takashi gently squeezed Nephira''s hand back. Her hand was slightly hard, but her fingers were slender and slightly warm. Takashi was getting a little nervous and had to control his breathing. 

 "Haa---! Haa---! Zee---! Zee---! Haah---! Haah---!" 

 However, Nephira''s breathing became even more erratic than Takashi''s. She ended up gripping Takashi''s hand back as if she was mping it in a vise. 

 "Ouuchhhhhhh!? It''ll break!! It''s snapping!!" 

 "Huh!? I''m sorry!!" 

 In the meantime, the Meru-Kiru sisters arrived. Takashi felt somewhat embarrassed and quickly let go of Nephira''s hand. As if on cue, Nephira also moved away from Takashi and acted as if nothing had happened. 

 "Well then, we''ll be your guides for today!" 

 The sisters announced as they started walking in front. Takashi followed the Meru-Kiru sisters with Nephira. 

 Kiru smiled and pointed at a man standing in front of a house. 

 "That guy is the baldest guy in town." 

 The man without a single hair on his head smiled shyly when Kiru introduced him. His head somewhat reflected the light of the sun as he bowed. Nephira nodded with a "Hou." 

 After walking for a while, Meru pointed her finger at another person this time. 

 "That man is, ya know---! The FATTEST guy in all of Leirune---!" 

 The giant man bowed humbly at the introduction. 

 "Hmm. He looks like a troll," Nephira shared her impressions. 

 The Meru-Kiru sisters looked happy as they went around and introduced the people to Nephira, but Takashi felt deeply troubled. 

 (No, what the hell is this!? It''s a FREAK show!!) 

 Kiru soon pointed at a woman standing there. She was the woman Meru had brought to be Takashi''s new ve before the duel with Gharaga. 

 "This gal, from all the town, has the BIGGEST tits!" 

 (Not anymore! That''s just sexual harassment!!)
