    Bailey''s pov


    It has been a couple days since Mirabe found out about Kaleb and me. Things hadn''t.....gotten


    easier since then unfortunately.


    Not only was she still extremely upset about it but she was also confusing Kristina by trying to not


    make Kristina talk to me too. I found it a bit childish but Mira was always that way.


    I''m just d Kristina wouldn''t let her dictate who she can and cannot speak too.


    Yet...I am terribly sad that Mirabe still have yet to speak to me. She even blocked me on all of her


    socials!


    My heart aches knowing I may have lost her forever.


    Was she serious about never speaking to me again? I lift my hand to rub that little aching part on


    my chest even though I knew the issue was inward and I couldn''t ease it in this way.


    " Hey my gloomy little flower." Kaleb whispered in my ear lovingly as he nted a delicate kiss on


    my neck and cheek, fixing himself on the bench beside me. He ced his tray on the table.


    I lifted my head that I had resting on my arm and looked at him through the messy strands of my


    hair. He grinned and brushed them off my face. " I missed you." He whispered truthfully while


    making sure not one single strand was blocking my vision.


    I smiled, my heart fluttering.


    We were in the cafeteria and it had gone quiet because even though it has been days since


    everyone found out we were together. Now that the cat was out of the bag, Kaleb made sure


    everyone knew I was his and he was mine.


    Of course the first couple of days was tough for me. I had gotten so many res and rumors of


    being a whore spread around the school like wildfire. But it died out quickly when Kaleb stepped in


    to help.


    By helping I mean, he threatened the girl who started it by telling her he''d let it slip to her dad that


    she fucked her biology teacher for a grade A.


    Things had gotten a bit easier on the third day, however everyone still stared at us as though we


    were some kind of weird science experiment.

    It also didn''t help that Juliet always shoots me death stares and makes it her mission to try to


    humiliate me every chance she gets. The thing about it is that I was no longer the Bailey who let her


    cruel words slip. I retorted back and didn''t make her words hurt me anymore.


    " You saw me like two minutes ago before going to take your lunch." I pointed out. Kaleb grinned,


    his eyes shinning and showing how happy he was.


    " Two minutes too long to stay away from my little flower." He said, swinging one leg off the bench


    anding closer until I was practically between his legs.


    He hugged me to him. " I hate when you''re sad." He sighed and it sounded pained. " Makes me feel


    like I am not able to make you happy."


    I pull away to look at him, my brows furrowing into a frown. " No. Are you kidding? You make me


    happy so much Kaleb." I said truthfully.


    Kaleb was and is the best boyfriend I could have ever imagined. He was sweet,pletely different


    than what I pictured him to be. I still cuss myself for not saying yes to him sooner.


    He stared down at me with those sad puppy eyes that made my heart squeeze, those blue making


    me fall for him even more. God I love this boy.


    " Then howes you''re not smiling right now? Want me to get you some ice cream or that apple


    croissant thing you love?" He''s searching my gaze for an answer.


    I shook my head, wrapping my arms around his midsection and hugging him tightly, breathing in his


    scent. It rxes me and smells like.....home. " I was just thinking about Mirabe. Trust me Kaleb, I


    am happy with you. You''re perfect. It''s just, I miss her you know."


    I miss Mirabe and it feels like I had hit a brick wall with her. She refused to talk to me, not even


    look at me. I can''t help but wonder what it was going to take for her to hear me out. I didn''t want to


    lose her forever.


    So many years of friendship going to waste just because I chose my heart.


    " I know." Kaleb whispered andid a soft kiss on my head, sighing heavily. " Mom and dad still


    think she''lle around. But she hasn''t been speaking to me either. "


    I let out a breath, and buried my face closer to his chest to hear his heartbeat.


    " Mine too. They think her reaction is normal and she''ll see the way we truly love each other and


    come around. I hope they''re right." I said softly.


    Mom and dad spoke to me after Mira and Kaleb left that night. They thought Mira''s reaction was


    typical. They said she''de around but it''s been days. She''s seen how good Kaleb treats me, well


    actually she hasn''t studied us at all.


    This is how mad she is with the both of us. She won''t even spare us a nce. It''s like we disgust


    her.


    " Me too baby." He pressed his lips to my forehead and sigh. " You sure you don''t want that ice


    cream or the croissant to cheer you up?"


    I lift my eyes to stare at him. " The cafeteria don''t have none of those." I pointed out with a smile.


    He shrugged. " There''s a shop just down the road. About an eight minute drive to go ande


    back. Just say the word and your boyfriend will be on it." He puffed his chest out.


    I giggled giddily. Staring up at him. " I don''t need anything else baby, you''re all I need to cheer me


    up."


    As I stared into his eyes that reflected the love he had for me, I realize Dad was right, I chose


    correctly.
