Chapter 44: Stranded
“I did not know there was someone here. I knocked on the door, but no one answered.” Wang Wen threw the hammer away and raised her hands to make herself look harmless.
The gunman at the stairway did not show his head. He said in a muffled voice, “You think you can break through the window just because no one answered?”
Wang Wen thought for a moment.
He said innocently, “I was too hungry. I’m sorry. I’ll leave right away.”
The gunman did not say anything more. He pointed the muzzle to show his consent.
Wang Wen slowly bent down, dragged the hammer, and slowly retreated. He climbed out the window again.
It was not until he stood outside the window and found a cover that he shouted, “Are you stranded? Is there anything you need help with?”
The gunman inside was silent for a moment. He said coldly, “I don’t understand what you’re saying. Leave immediately, or I’ll shoot.”
Wang Wen quietly took out a small mirror to observe the situation in the house. “Give me a chance. I’m serious. I can bring you food, water, medicine, and even weapons and ammunition as long as you’re willing tomunicate.”
The gunman thought for a long time. Perhaps he didck some essential items. He finally asked in puzzlement, “How did you know?”
Wang Wen was relieved.
As long as the other party was willing tomunicate, it would be easy.
He answered, “Those bikers obviously don’t understand our words. I can infer that the checkpoint was most likely in a foreignnguage. I did not bring any equipment, like a synchronous trantor, so I knew it when you opened your mouth.”
The sound of fists hammering against the wall came faintly from the vi.

“Depends on what you need.” Wang Wen looked at the small mirror. “If you want something above the 100th floor, then maybe we’ll never see each other again in this lifetime. I won’t be able toe back once it resets on Sunday.”
“You haven’t reached the 100th floor?” The gunman was shocked. “Then why are you so arrogant? And you know so much about the people stranded here?
Wang Wen said, “I just want to stay within the first 100 floors this week. Furthermore, stranded people here are not a big secret. Many homeless people love to y this game.”
It seemed like a sore spot with the gunman. He shouted angrily, “I’m not a homeless beggar!”
“Okay, okay.” Wang Wenforted him casually and went back to the topic. “So, what do you want?”
The gunman hesitated and said, “I’m not sure if there’s anything I want on the 100th floor. I want an item that can take photos and take them out of the tower.”
Wang Wen frowned. “You mean like a cell phone?”
“I know it’s difficult. It doesn’t have to be electronic. An ordinary film camera can do it too,” the gunman said.
“That’s unconventional.” Wang Wen searched through his memory. “I can only say that I’ll try my best to help you look for it. I can’t guarantee that there will be one.”
“It doesn’t matter if you can’t find it.”
The first half of the gunman’s sentence made Wang Wen’s heart warm.
The second half of his sentence was an instant kill. “Anyway, I will only give you the Master Key when you bring me what I want.”
“Hey, hey.” Wang Wen called out unhappily. “There are many Master Keys on the market. One only costs a few hundred points. The thing you want is not thatmon!”
The gunman also knew that he had gone a little overboard.
He asked, “Then what do you want? I can’t just give it to you. What if you run away?’

It was a familiar floor.

When the time was up, the entire room would copse.

The content was quite ordinary. It had no effect at all, especially with Wang Wen’s mental strength.
It only made him sleepy.
The 15th floor.
It was Wang Wen’s favorite survival series.
He wanted to eat, drink, and be happy. He only needed to find the entrance to the next floor before midnight or noon.
Then he was on the 16th, 17th, 18th, and 19th floors.
The all-powerful climber passed those floors smoothly without any dy.
The 20th floor.
It was an even number, so it was an extreme level.
Before the entrance, the micro-scanning aircraft assigned him to some random team members.
Wang Wen carried the gun on his back. He entered the level with a tight grip on his hammer.
He did not find any cameras on the previous nine floors.
He hoped that there would be good news on the remaining 80 floors.
Otherwise, he could only purchase it out of his pocket.
Light and shadow swirled in front of him.
When he reappeared, he was standing in a spacious and clean white hall.
When Wang Wen saw the scene in front of him, he suddenly had a feeling of déjà vu.
Just like on the previous 10th floor, there were three men and a woman in the hall.
He had nothing to say about the men.
However, it was that woman again!
Wang Wen felt as if his head was about to explode.
The other party noticed the new arrival and looked up. She was also slightly stunned.
Then, she revealed a beautiful smile, which almost made the three men beside her drool.
That was all.
She did not deliberately greet him.
Wang Wen did not want anyone to know that he knew the woman.
The two sides understood that they would not expose each other.

He quietly held the hammer and waited for them to open the checkpoint.
One of the men, a middle-aged man wearing gold-rimmed sses, said to the woman, “That’s right,dies should smile more. Look at how beautiful you look when you smile. Don’t be nervous. I will get you through this level!”
The woman nodded and said, “Thank you.”
The gold-rimmed-sses man smiled widely. He looked at Wang Wen and said, “Alright, we have enough people. Let’s begin.”
His gaze stopped at the gun behind Wang Wen’s back for a moment, but he did not care and moved away. He summoned the aircraft to announce the start of the level.
“Level 20, begin.”
The walls moved as the mechanical voice faded.
The initially clean white walls seemed to havee alive as they squirmed and trembled as they fell.
Every wall that fell to the ground had mouths and feet. Some even had transparent wings that were several timesrger than them.
Those were insects!
Those were densely packed insects!
The woman immediately cried out.
