    “Busy.” Emmett nced at his mother, pursed his lips, and said no more, continuing to focus on the

    Sophia walked over, cing the soup in front of him. “Have some. I know you’re not in a good mood,


    but you can’t neglect your health. You are the backbone of the Melendez family.”


    Emmett waved his hand. “I’m not hungry. I’ve already eaten.”


    “Nonsense! I’ve asked Ricardo, and he told me that you’ve locked yourself in this office since you came


    back and haven’t let anyone enter.”


    Seeing that her son didn’t reply, Sophia continued, “Is it because of ra? I knew it! Did she say


    something to you?”

    Emmett suddenly stood up from his seat. “I said I don’t want to hear her name right now! Can you


    leave?”
